Teltronics Service Center damaged my Piano and "Misled" me. I gave "their manager" a Portable Digital Piano with 3&5/7 Normally Working treble octaves (I played all those in front of them at the time of drop off), to fix the non-working 2&5/7 bass octaves left. different times I emphasized to him, "If you see any risk of damage for the working part in the process, please do not open or risk with it, as it is still enough for helping me. Every time I said so, he assured me. Finally they could not fix the wrong part, and they returned me a Nothing-Works-Well and "totally odd, doubled, shaky, repetitive voice keys" for the entire piano, without even telling the truth while return. He assured me while return that there is no damage with the healthy part, even they fixed some of the Bass keys and maybe they are usable for short time. After I found the damage, I went and talked logically to him. He did not accept their mistake and started accusing me of lying, mocking my talks, and claimed that the piano "was Not working At All from the Drop Off day". He refused to pay any compensation, even the estimation refund, and even giving the same working second hand piano as a compensation. read more

I have a vintage Sansui amp. The left channel would crack at a certain volume. After calling a few places and being told it was not worth it to fix (??!) Teltronics recognized the amp immediately as being well worth the $$ to fix. It did take time and 2 visits, but for the price (very reasonable) and technicians who really know there stuff, it was well worth the wait. After using these guys as my electronic service center for the past 10+ years, having had at least a half dozen items repaired here over the years, I honestly wanted to write them a tremendous review as all the past jobs had made me very happy in terms of cost and service. I recently brought in an 18 year old turntable of very high quality (originally a $900 turntable) and asked the owners son at the counter when I left it with them if they'd take care with it and make sure I receive it back in the same condition. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Upon picking it up ($310 repair invoice) I noticed scratches and scuffs on the brushed aluminum skin. Luckily, I had taken photos on the counter before leaving the store so when I opened the photos to reference the condition is was plain as day they had caused about 3 times the amount of damage than was pre-existing. They refunded me $150 as this is what I had said I'd be willing to accept. Upon getting the unit home and carrying it inside I realized that they had creased/damaged the aluminum top skin around the outside edge of the platter to where it had delaminated and cannot be reasonably repaired or replaced as these unit are long discontinued. I went back in to discuss this with Tad, the owner and he immediately got very defensive and started cursing and raised his voice, shouting. He refused any further responsibility and ownership and was fine with me leaving pissed off, hence this review. I don't know what kind of incompetent Neanderthal they have working on sensitive equipment, but his ass should be sent down the road, kicking rocks. GROSS INCOMPETENCE. NEVER AGAIN will I use Tad & Teltronics. Just walk into their store and look at the absolute hurricane of a mess in there, a complete and total disaster. If you care about the condition and finish of your item then do yourself a favour and STAY FAR, FAR AWAY! *** Take a look at all the scratches they made and make note of the third photo, a wire that's sandwiched in-between the top plate and the base, I now have to take this unit apart and put it back together properly.
