I'm a plane lover and I love the land and the sea but somehow have always struggled with the idea of being in a cruise for so many hours and feeling locked in. This was the perfect way to test the waters but also to get us from Stockholm to Helsinki overnight in the most relaxed way possible with the most gorgeous sea view. It was pretty chaotic getting into the cruise and trying to figure out our room number and how everything worked but it was super easy after we did. The cool thing is you can bring anything on board and also buy anything you need from their duty free shop which people really seemed to love. I do wish there were more food options because the buffet did not look appealing at all and the 2 little restaurants were mostly Italian food. Either way we had a blast, our room was super clean and had all the basic necessities. I highly recommend a room with a window otherwise it will feel even more claustrophobic and tiny in there lol! Docking and undocking was great, very punctual and we absolutely loved getting to relax on board, check out the many different activities and areas while cozying up as the cruise took us to Helsinki for the day. 5 stars for the price but there are a few things that could totally be tweaked. As for Brika Cruises, I am very sorry to say that it was one of the worst experiences I ever had. Although there are cheap cabin options, it was not worth it at all. My boyfriend and I lived in Sweden for 9 months and wanted to see the Archipeligo. We booked this 22h cruise from Birka with a standard cabin and breakfast incl. We had seen the dinner options of the bistro on board and thought that would be nice to do. After ordering, the food was brought to us within 5 minutes, which indicated that it had been already cooked and standing for a bit! We noticed that straight away as the food was lukewarm/cold.. very dissapointing. Furthermore, our standard cabin was located directly next to the loading dock, where they were transferring goods until 2am and starting again from 6am in the morning. It created so much noise that we couldn't sleep. On top of that, our shower was stuck on an extremely hot temperature that we couldn't change! In the morning we had to wait for 20 minutes in line for breakfast, which was the smallest issue despite having pre-booked. Overall, I can never recommend anyone to travel with this company! Instead, please check the other options out there, as there are many. Hope this helps.

Although there was no front desk attendant it was very easy to check in and check out. I love the downtown area of Karlskrona, Sweden as well. The hostel had very clean beds and bathrooms. There was complimentary breakfast including orange juice and milk with cereal. The hostel was very small with about ten rooms. The surrounding area had a McDonald's and Subway within walking distance since it was a little harder to find food in this remote city. I highly recommend staying at this hostel and visiting the magical city of Karlskrona.
