Wow, just wow. Some of these reviews are pretty terrible in my opinion…read more One parent complaining about their child being suspended for a misinterpreted comment. Guess what - good lesson for the kid. It's doesn't really matter what your intention was, only how the comment was received. If you have to explain yourself, you probably should have thought a little more in depth before opening your mouth. As far as the front office staff is concerned, I've had to pull my 8th grader out every other month for orthodontist appointments since 6th grade and I've never had a problem. Sounds like the logistics and some of the personal problems of some of these parents might be causing issues for the school so a little push back is taken as rudeness. I'm reality, they're doing their best to make sure the kids are safe and secure. This is my son's final year at Bella Vista (6th grade was full COVID, distance learning) and he's excelled academically. He went in with straight A's from elementary school, started in advanced classes, and has maintained his excellent grades. The teachers are reasonable and firm with expectations based in realism - face it, they're working with freakin' pre-teens and young teens - terrible job in my opinion but glad they are there doing their best for my son everyday. My daughter will gladly go to Bella Vista after another year of elementary school because big brother has had such a positive experience.

My child attends Temecula Valley Charter School. The teachers are doing their best under pressure,…read moreand many of them genuinely care. The problem is not the classroom. The problem is the administration. Dr. Charity Hennings serves as Treasurer on the Board while also controlling student medical plans. That conflict of roles alone should concern every parent. When parents have asked for protocols, she has repeatedly refused to provide transparency. Instead of accountability, she deflects and blames parents when something goes wrong. She has received multiple raises while teachers and staff are stretched to the breaking point, forced to cover multiple departments and responsibilities just to keep the school operational. Educators are overworked, morale is strained, and leadership continues rewarding itself. When you bring concerns to the Board, you quickly learn there is no real oversight. Complaints are simply forwarded back to Dr. Hennings. The Board President does not independently investigate he redirects. Parents are then forced to deal directly with the very person they are filing concerns about. That is not governance. That is insulation. I have attended 6 of these meetings and they are no help. The attitude from administration is clear: if you don't like it, leave. That is not how a publicly funded charter school should operate. The health office is understaffed. There have been multiple student medical emergencies on campus that parents believe were minimized or quietly swept aside. Communication lacks transparency. When student safety is involved, silence is not leadership it is negligence. The promised new site lacks transparency and clarity. Questions go unanswered. Information is vague. Families are expected to simply trust without being given fact. Event the Temecula school district is questioning TVCS. Save your children, do not go here. I am pulling mine out.

(Chunk Bunk for short) I can't believe she retired and I was so disheartened and disappointed to hear she has retired as of last year. I heard the news from my kiddo Rebecca Jones, 8th grade. Never will there be another one like Cheryl Baber Thompson and I hope Madam Turk can fulfill her duty as the greatest and biggest teacher at Shivela so far. (No pun intended am I right Crystal?) My kids have had fun times here and my last daughter is leaving this year. I'll miss what my kids call "Papa Hamm" or "Big Brett BARTlett." Some may even call the assistant principal Mr. Brown the "Boot Duster Brown" as in he dusts boots. No idea what that means. We love Mr. Brown in this household. Anyways, thanks mama bear Cheryl for all you did. I'll miss you and your pigtails that showed your scalp and made my kids want to "throw up." Their words, not mine. Love and wishes!

Like, for example, as even Brent B. has said, the school has some sort of balding disease. This school has horrible staff and has the kids becoming zesty. Yesterday at the school, I heard a kid say how he loves Papa Ham... unacceptable! I would rather watch Madame Web, Lesbian Space Princess, and Dean Witherspoon than send another one of my five middle children to this school. I will now provide a list of things I HATE about this school. 1. The teachers 2. The staff 3. The zesty kids 4. The ground 5. The trees As we see, EVERYTHING here is horrible. The S.S. teacher, Mr. Vancoochies or whatever, is saddening to watch and makes me want to look like Brent B. And now kids are getting freaky here... and yes, that is actually true! Some will call this slander or overdramatized, but I would rather goon with sandpaper than go here once more. Honestly, flat-earthers are better. MY good friend Brent B. had become totally EMO from this school... I rank this, if I could, -10/10 stars; WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
