I only visited this venue work place area, to hear Council Person Zac Unger, Distruct 1, give an overview of the budget proposal for the coming months ahead. It was excellent. Mr. Unger is a former fire fighter who understands of course the imminent need to maintain our fire stations in Oakland. The space is large, open, friendly, attractive and accommodating. I would recommend having more than just one restroom however. There could be another one on the upstairs level already, of course. read more

We rented Temescal Works for my husband's 50th bday party. It was a surprise party and everything went SO well. The space is gorgeous! High ceilings, clean and lots of room. We had just under 50 people (about 1/3 kids ages 5-18) and there was room for adults to dance and kids to run around. They also allowed the use of two conference rooms which was perfect for people who wanted to be part of the party but needed somewhere a little more quiet. It's also helpful to have things like tables and chairs there already and the kitchen area is a big plus. We brought in a DJ and our own food. Cameron from the Temescal works team stayed throughout the event and was so awesome making sure people got into the space ok and that everything was all good. The booking process was also really easy. I was able to complete it mostly via email and it wasn't a ton of back and forth. They also helped me with getting event insurance and provided a list of caterers, rental agencies, etc. I kind of want to have every party here from here on out! At the very least, I'll probably stop by for coworking in the future. read more

Such a wonderful co-working space!!! In mid-September I was scrambling to find a meeting space available on a Friday night for a client, which turned out to be extremely challenging thanks to COVID-19. Researched 50+ other co-working spaces in the Bay, and none were open beyond the standard 9-5 business hours unless you're a monthly member. I was so delighted and relieved by how the staff at Temescal Works were so open and kind to accommodate our needs and work out a plan - thank you again! On a separate occasion, my apartment experienced a half-day internet outage and I was once again scrambling to secure internet access for my job. While online bookings are probably the preferred method, I was able to call in and arrange getting a day pass at Temescal Works over the phone. Y'all have saved me twice! Convenient location, beautiful and clean interior, high quality phone booths, indoor bike parking, friendly staff, great coffee... I am so glad that I live close by to this brilliant place and looking forward to visiting again soon! read more

To my taste, this is the perfect co-working spot. The owners and staff have thought through everything, from a beautiful space to easy access to a well-equipped kitchen so you can bring your lunch fixings. The people are quiet but friendly. The phone booths work great for calls. Good bike parking. I went twice on a day pass (first day free) and then joined as a member and I'm so glad I did. I get more work done here than when I work at home. I am grateful to the staff for being so helpful. read more

Amazing and clean facility and a lot of hard work has been put into restoring an old original neighborhood building. Great options for desks, sound proof booths for phone calls, and a kitchen. I LOVE the community that Temescal Works has built over the past few years. While it's a great place to get some work done, they also create lots of opportunities to connect with other individuals and businesses. It has a hyper local feel as many residents walk or ride their bike here (I drive :P) and the majority of the owners live in the neighborhood. The facilities are top notch with a great kitchen space, bike racks, meeting rooms and phone booths for privacy. My company hosted a large event here in 2019 - and the space was perfect. During COVID, there have been many safety protocols in place, so I personally have felt really safe coming in on a regular basis. Overall, it's a fantastic work space with lots of interesting professionals and good local vibes. read more

I love this place!! It is clean, has a well appointed kitchen, a great receptionist and altogether cool vibe. People are working hard here, and are polite. There are enough phone booths for calls, so the open space design does not lead to the distraction of loud conversations. Plus, I see some people occasionally bring their best friend to work, an added plus. read more

Bright, sunny, quiet coworking space in the heart of Temescal. I joined about a month ago, and have found this to be a great place to focus and be productive. People are friendly but generally heads-down while in the common spaces, and there are privacy booths for phone conversations. I love that this was built and is run by neighbors on the street, and is so easy to access from residential North Oakland! read more

I've been working at Temescal Works steadily for a couple months now. The space is beautifully designed to maximize knowledge work productivity with a combination of shared and individual work spaces and conference rooms as well as more relaxed seating for reading. Lots of options for desk configurations to accommodate individuals to growing teams and a nicely appointed kitchen that expands in to a configurable multi-use area for events. It is professionally run. The management team is responsive, handy and tends to fresh flowers and plants as well as to occupants. It's located within walking distance to BART and surrounded by a small, interesting assortment of local restaurants and takeout places for lunch. read more

I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for somewhere you can be productive, focus and if you want to meet other friendly people (but if you just want to go there to get your work done, and not socialize it works great for that too!). The staff are all so nice and helpful, everything's clean, the coffee and sun are abundant and you can store your bike inside, what more can a person ask for? I've never had a problem with people being too loud in the main space and there's somehow always magically a phone booth available when you want to take a zoom call or meeting. I was there for 6 months and I think it works great for an extrovert like me who wants to meet new people at the social gatherings they put on or say hi when grabbing coffee in the morning but I also see a lot of people who are just there to get there work done and not talk to other people. juliegreengard@gmail.com read more

I've been a member since they first opened and couldn't imagine a more low-key, welcoming place to work. It's a beautiful space in a great neighborhood with a friendly staff. There's tons of amenities and it's always easy to get a private meeting room or a privacy booth. read more

After 1 month of receiving $300 in parking tickets - I've decided to cancel my membership here. There is no available parking in the area - residents are unhappy with the space being here and have frequently called parking ticketers ever since it became more popular. I wouldn't recommend if you're someone who has to drive to get here. read more

So excited this place has opened, really is exactly what I've been looking for in a co-working space. Great brick-lined, multilevel space with a variety of seating options, plenty of light, staff is super helpful and friendly. Coffee's included with membership too.
