Unfortunately, after day one, I knew she and the teachers were going to be difficult and a bad fit. It was a complete false advertisement on their part to tell me that the teachers work with the students and are patient and God centered. She explained how she understood that kids need an adjustment after being home for so long due to COVID and that my son was also adjusting to many other changes in our lives (new baby, new house, new school). With COVID and kids staying home for nearly 2 years, there is an adjustment period. There are plenty of scientific articles explaining the fact that some children regressed, and children need to have an adjustment back to normalcy. Unfortunately, Marie was not understanding in the least and barely gave my son a chance to adjust and show his true self. On the morning of Day3 she dismissively said we could not return, without warning the previous day, and did not even give us a chance to discuss or make plans. This is not the Christian way to handle children and not a Christian response of love and nurturing that they advertise. Furthermore, they are not interested in the children's safety. I sent my husband (who Marie and the teachers had not met) to pick our son up early on Day 2. They must have been in such a ridiculous rush to get him out that they didn't even ID my husband or ask for his name to verify who he was. They just sent my son out of the building with this man they never met, who claimed he was picking him up. He wandered around the building, in search of the school and office, for a while and noticed kids napping on their own in a room without any teachers present (meaning anyone could walk in and out with a kid unaware by the teachers).

You can pick the classes you want to take and either do the rest at home or find other venues. We took full advantage of the school, leaving only math that my brilliantly mathematical husband covered for my son and some of his peers in our own home. Stone Hill offers classical education -- the humanities and sciences, as well as language -- in small classes, at a very rigorous pace, and at very affordable rates. By high school most students qualify for advanced classes in just about every subject. Our own son elected to take college classes at Rutgers and Temple his junior and senior years of high school and now he is graduating college in three years; a huge saving for us. Stone Hill definitely prepared him for the rigors of college education. Homeschooling is a great way to develop and educate your child, and Stone Hill Learning Center is a huge help in providing a disciplined learning environment, high academic standards, and fellowship among other demanding homeschoolers. Taking a full load of classes just three days a week, Tuesdays through Thursdays, gives your student an excellent education with plenty of time for your student to explore his or her creative endeavors or for long weekend field or family trips. Maybe need a stronger mic to lead the congregation. The mass was very traditional. I attended for my little cousin's first communion which was a beautiful service. The lesson to the kids was very on point and a funny story was told about the priest's first communion which was heart warming. If you like old school traditional mass this is a good place to try. Be prepared as it is a large church with a tiny parking lot.
