From past…read moreexperiences with other Orthodox organizations I thought that they were going to be pushy and unwelcoming if you did not agree with their views. However after my first time there I realized it was the exact opposite. No matter what sect of Judaism you consider yourself, or even if you're not Jewish at all, they welcome you into their home and make you feel welcome. Rabbi Chaim and Miki are great and they have the cutest kids ever! Shabbat dinners are always fun and they do not compete with Hillel at all. In fact they work with board members in all the Jewish organizations on campus to make sure they do not have any conflicting events. They have lots of things going on all the time including Shabbat dinners, Hebrew lessons, Lunch and Learn (on campus), Dinner and Discussion, quarterly barbeques, Torah study, and more. Miki's Hebrew classes are fun and I feel like I have learned a lot. I can now read Hebrew, although I read like a kindergartner. However with more practice I know I will get better.

Temple Beth El is a reform congregation with around 45 family units. Not many children, but a warm…read morefriendly congregation with mostly "seniors". We have a part time Rabbi Dov Gottesfeld but we have services every Friday led by several competent lay leaders. We have many educational and cultural events year round. Come and join us! The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because we lack a Sunday school for lack of families with children at this time.
