Wanting some sweet treats, up and coming artists with a youthful local urban vibe this is the place. Tempo Tea Bar provides a modern twist to the ever growing and delicious bubble tea scene. They boast fruity and colorful flavors galore topped with tons of sweetness. Also hint hint you can combine any and as many flavors you want. The limit is just the number of pumps of delicious syrup that will fit in your glass. So, are you also looking for a new artist or some local artistic flavor? Tempo Tea Bar hosts art and music from local up and coming artists. So you'll be ahead of the crowd ;) Also they have slushy versions of their drinks. Yum! Perfect for a hot day or whenever you're feeling for something icy. But if you want hot, not a problem either. Or maybe you're not into sweet not a problem just let them know. Maybe you just want the pearls or jelly, not a problem only about £5 for a cup full.

I've been a Tempo Tea Bar lover since day 1 and I am so excited to see them to expand into Edinburgh! I feel like Tempo are the leaders of the pack in the bubble tea scene and they always get the fun, frivolous, fabulous vibe just right in their Glasgow stores - but how would Edinburgh compare? Well, as soon as I walked in I got a super cheery, warm welcome. The space is cool - in an arch and there's the right signage you expect from Tempo. I got my usual apple bubble tea with some strawberry jelly and was really chuffed with it. Delicious. Friendly staff, delicious drinks and something to brighten up my afternoon - perfection! Notes: Well worth taking a detour from Waverley station to swing by for a bubble tea as it's only about 5 minutes away.

After an awful first experience of Bubble tempo tea bar have completely won me over. I loved the fruity combinations and the easier but stable Boba. The place has an amazing atmosphere by being designed beautifully but also featuring some local artists. Supporting the local artists is an excellent example for the heart that's behind the owners and workers of tempo tea bar. Totally loved it!

I love me some bubble tea ! If you have never had bubble tea before, make sure you do! This is a great starting point, they break the menu up so its easy to know what to order: choose a flavour ( fruit flavour pumps -well theres a lot of choices so maybe not that easy) , chose a tea base ( black, green, white, red), choose a fruit tea to mix, and then chose a "topping" ( which is a strange they call it that because it's really a "bottom" add ) , You can do half popping bubbles, half jellies, or just one if you want. I also really love the traditional boba, but if your new to bubble tea then I'd recommend starting with the popping bubbles. Endless mixes and matched! You can get the drink cold, hot or slushed ( blended ice). If its all still too much they staff have made some mixed choices up, ask them they are super friendly! Tempo Tea Bar started in Glasgow and we are so luckily that they have opened one in Edinburgh now! A hip spin on the traditional bubble tea, Tempo does lots of fruity mixes and has a large choice of popping juice bubbles. I love this location as its super close to the train station and in the cool old arches. p.s. They also support local musical artists! Which I think is cool

I'm going to make this clear…read more I love bubble tea ever since my girlfriend introduced me years back in Canada When she was over here the only place I could find at the time to do bbt was in the savoy centre and we all know that place is grim However over the years there has been a trend of new places opening. I first tried tempo at a stall during the merchant city festival, I wasn't blown away however chalked it down to it being a pop up stand Now that I can try tempo at a convenient location in silverburn I'm pained to say again I'm not blown away They use monin syrup as the flavouring which just give the bbt a syrupy taste ..... Nothing refreshing about it, just sickly syrup They also shake it with ice to cool it more which is great however they then throw all the ice away instead of giving a few cubes in the drink to kee it cooler longer I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Scotland doesn't do great bbt, it's ok but not great. If you order watermelon or strawberry etc in Canada .... You get the fresh fruit as part of the drink blended together giving a refreshing taste

Their stall here is nothing like the Queen St stall - it's a stall in the middle of the centre near Paperchase (M&S end) but they still know how to do an amazing bubble tea. I got the season special with passionfruit and added in some strawberry bubbles. Oh yeh. I love that you can get boba to take away too, and apparently it lasts for quite a while in the fridge. Totally doing that for when I get back from holidays and having me some boozy bubble tea at home! Woohoo! Note: they take card + Swipii loyalty card and are on Deliveroo.

No... I screw up my eyes a little. - It can't be!…read moreBubble tea? In Stirling?! 'Urban Bubble. Bubble tea and ice cream bar.' YES! - I did a little celebratory dance right there and then before proceeding to walk past on a daily basis like some sort of bubble tea maniac, checking for signs of an opening date. Finding their Facebook page a mere half an hour before they opened made for a quick run to town, excited to try Stirling's new bubble tea offering. My experience with bubble tea so far has been mixed. I find the quality and taste varies hugely depending on where you go. The strawberry milk tea from Tempo tea bar in Glasgow makes for a dreamy milkshake-like wonder and I've never been disappointed. Equally so, I've had chemically-tasting, watery or separating bubbles teas from several places now. So I was excited but, ultimately, prepared for disappointment. We were the first customers and I got to try the first bubble tea he'd ever made. We had quite a wait but we were excited to have a peek around. It's small with a cake counter at the front. (They stock the local Caledonia Cheesecake Company cakes!) They've a seriously impressive selection of ice cream (and perhaps some froyo too!) at the front, a slushie machine and electronic screens for menus. All sounding good! - But how did the bubble tea taste? As we were the first customers he gave us them for free owing to them essentially being practice drinks and the fact that we had waited for some time. They were watery and the flavour was weak. I think more mixture and perhaps a milk base is required. They didn't get it right first time but I'm so hopeful that I can come here for a great bubble tea soon as the mixture definitely tasted like the good kind. - No horrible chemical taste here! Also, I'm not a fan of tapioca boba so I was thrilled that they stock popping bubbles. The strawberry ones were delicious! I'm holding out on you, Urban Bubble!

Lady who saw us over to the table was a wee bit brash, but didn't think much to it. Waited for around 5 minutes before anyone came over to offer a drink. Quite a difference from Asia Style. Went for Jasmine Tea, which is a £1 charge. You don't pay at Asia Style, so seems strange to even charge a token £1 for it. Thai Green Chicken curry & the special, Okra with Crispy Pork. Didn't have to wait too long, around 10 minutes. Beautifully presented, but I'm afraid the taste is no match for Asia Style. Pungent smell of fish sauce overpowered both the dishes, which didn't help the enjoyment. Okra was not fried enough, so as you bit in, it was quite watery. Overly salty pork (that'll be the fish sauce) and quite fatty. The Thai curry was more of a soup. Chicken was well cooked, but again a lot of fat on the chicken and that fish sauce...arrghh! It just over powered everything. Service.. well, it made Asia Style look positively in the same league as The Black Sheep! Not very attentive and brash. Certainly wasn't trying to win you over with personality or attentive service here. £28.00 in total for a tea, 7-up, two mains and a boiled rice. Not the cheapest & certainly not outstanding enough to make me want to try this place again. The location is by far the winner here - certainly no competition for Asia Style. You Don't Gotta Eat Here... Sadly! :-(

I had heard rave reviews about Bubble Tea down in London and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I can't believe we actually have one in Glasgow. It's take away only so all the menus are outside the shop and both in English and in a Chinese language. There is so much choice it's just a list after list of options. So after opting for the Strawberry Pearl Milk Tea with ice, the lady did her magic. It's a tea made with a milk or cream with a flavour of your choice containing the small black tapioca balls which nestle at the bottle of the plastic cup. This is were you get the pearls from, it's all in them special balls. So shaken, sealed and with a lovely big pink straw for me, I was given my first Bubble Tea. The straw is so wide, just enough for you to suck up the balls. Oooft, so much could be said here but keeping it pearly clean. Hehe!! It's such a weird sensation and it's like a wee surprise in your mouth. Steady! They are soft, chewy and taste lovely. My strawberry flavour was delicious, my man got coconut, also very tasty. If you haven't been it's definitely worth departing 3 of your British pounds for something unique with a unusual taste sensation.

Never again did I think that I would find anything like it again, I had out those tapioca balls known in Canada as 'bubbles' being me and gotten back to the life of smoothies and fruit juice. Low and behold! Easy Way Tea exists in the strangest of places, the Savoy Centre!! There has never ever been any reason for me to go i to the Savoy Centre before in my life, but here it was! And no one knows about it? How can this be, these drinks really are a sensation. My first visit I had the Green apple flavoured green tea with the 'bubbles', oh that reminds me of holidays!! It was as good as the Canadian bubble tea as they called it. I think this sort of thing must be very popular in Taiwan, where I think it originated, because I recognised some of the contraptions which squeeze the bubbles into my drink. So refreshing and light, not like a smoothie at all, more like iced tea with little balls in it to suck up through a huge straw.
