Upon entering the daycare at age 1 we saw him transforming into independed little person and it was fascinating to see how much knowledge he brought home each day at such young age. Any learning was incorporated into fun games or activities and some of the teachers we had should have gotten an award for going all out on transforming the classroom based on the theme fo the month. Baby #2 entered CA at age 4 months and I had absolutely no fear or hesitation trusting the staff with my child. Those ladies are on top of their game and they keep you informed with messages and photos throughout the day. Even infants have music and yoga classes! Side note director and the staff were extremely patient and supportive when my kid was going though prolonged potty training transition, delayed speech, etc. They also recognized and encouraged his positive qualities. Each child is different and unique and from my observation staff recognizes and utilizes different approaches. My son's class graduated from CA knowing all pre-K material (based on conversations with other parents) and all the learning was done though play, songs and fun. If a child gets upset the daycare is closed for the weekend or holiday, that pretty much tells you how they feel about going there :)

Our first stayed through pre-k, the second stopped only because of the free local 3k, and our third is still happily enrolled. We've trusted this school for over 5 years with our 3 children, and have looked forward to sending each of our kids here. The admins are responsive, the teachers, for the most part, seem to love children and their jobs (we've had one over the years that wasn't great, but she is gone now). Many of the current teachers are the same as when my son started over 5 years ago. There is always strong communication throughout the day, they regularly post eating/sleeping/potty events as well as photos and videos so we can always see how our kids are doing. They eat healthy food and are given a wide variety of fun activities. As infants they help them learn to sit, walk, fine motor skills, even potty train them. As they grow older there is an academic schedule to help them learn their letters, counting, colors, etc. One of my sons went through a hitting phase, and the admins and his teachers sat with us to give us tools to help him, and made sure he wasn't endangering others in the class. When I bring my two older kids in to pick up the youngest, all the teachers remember them and there's always plenty of smiles and hugs. They do follow the DOE schedule, so are closed more often than I'd like (yeah, its annoying), but its worth it for the quality of care at a reasonable cost. As other reviewers have noted, Covid was not easy, especially on daycares. Yes, dropoff/pickup was inconvenient, yes it was hard to plan around cases shutting down classrooms, and yes it took a hit on morale and staff turnover, BUT these are all a direct result of them taking precaution and carefully following safety guidelines. I'm happy to say that none of my children got covid while at BKA, and I thank their thoroughness for this (these were pre-vaccine days, it was scary!). For the most part, all is back to normal now. I get that there's always an exception and some reviewers have had bad experiences, but we absolutely adore BKA, and most the parents we chat with do as well. It is a loving, caring, clean daycare (with outdoor space!) that we couldn't recommend more.

His very 1st day my son was sent home in a soggy diaper, wet clothes, and shoes on the wrong feet. I informed the school of various triggers, and habits. This was completely ignored and he would come home completely distressed everyday. My son also has a texture issue so he is very selective with foods. The school had me supply his food/milk/snacks/diapers/wipes ect. and pay over $300 weekly. The entire time my son was there they allowed him to do whatever he wanted. He rarely engaged in class routine and wasnt encouraged to do so either. There was nobody there knowledgeable about his diagnosis thus making it impossible for anyone to work with him. I have since pulled my son out of school and have been home schooling him. In the 5months since we started my son says words can identify numbers and some colors and has been open to other foods.

Unfortunately, my experience raised concerns about communication and transparency. I wasn't allowed an in-person tour and was only shown the classroom via a security camera. Staff did not provide a parent handbook, safety policies, or a schedule/menu/activities, even after I requested them multiple times and explained that other daycares usually provide this information. At enrollment, I explained that my daughter is sensitive about being wiped due to a prior experience; staff didn't express concerns at the time. A little over two weeks later, she was returned in soiled underwear even though she appeared cleaned and had a change of clothes available. The day before, my mother and I mentioned seeing a rat run across the outdoor entryway, which appeared to upset the owner. When I called the next day to ask about the hygiene incident, the owner said staff didn't want to assist my daughter with wiping because of what I had shared and ended care, stating my questions made staff uncomfortable. I was never informed of this decision before that call. When I returned to collect my daughter's belongings, I saw a child's table break in the front classroom area near the entryway -- a space all families walk through when entering. My daughter didn't express negative experiences, but I left with serious concerns about transparency, sanitation, and how parents' questions are handled. If you value clear communication and consistent policies, this daycare may not be the best fit.

The baby room staff are amazing -- especially Mrs. Bahora, who cared for both my children with so much love and patience. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and that makes all the difference. Mrs. Karen, Mrs. Maybe, and Mrs. Yuliana are also wonderful -- they're so kind and nurturing, and they take the time to help the kids learn and feel confident. The daycare is always clean, the meals are homemade (and smell delicious!), and the environment feels very safe and organized. One of the things I love most is that they're open almost all year -- they only close a few days, which is such a big help for working parents like me. They also keep great communication with families. There's a group chat on WhatsApp where they send pictures and videos of the kids, along with updates throughout the day. It really helps me feel connected even while I'm at work. The owner, Mrs. Linda, has always been kind and helpful with any questions I've had. She communicates openly and makes me feel completely at ease leaving my kids in her care. Over the years, I've seen how much effort she and her team put into everything -- from safety to fun learning activities. My kids love the music classes, and the older group has amazing teachers like Mrs. Sitora, who puts on beautiful Christmas and Mother's Day performances. You can really see how much time and love goes into helping the children learn and grow. I'm so grateful to have found this place. My children have learned so much, and I've always felt supported as a parent. Every experience can be different, but for our family, this daycare has been nothing short of wonderful.

And it was just as good as well, from amazing and well prepared classes, courses to amazing and caring staff, it's just a great place for them to get ready for Pre-K. Both our son and daughter were very attached to Ms Nicole because of how loving and caring she is. Overall GLM is a place were kids will be safe, learning, making friends, and getting ready for Pre-K in a very well managed environment.
