Despite being behind because of rain, Steve made an effort to get out and get us a bid and talk through some ideas and suggestions the day after we made our first call. Because of the weather and having to push things back, he came out one evening to help reroute some drainage issues we had as a temporary fix until he could get out to finish the whole project. At that point, we hadn't even decided which company we were going with. He told us that it didn't matter and he couldn't, in good faith, let us go without some sort of help with the impending rain. In addition to being a standup person, the quality of work we received was incredible, we have never had a crew who took such care and paid such close attention to detail. They were all respectful and took care as if it were their own home. They cleaned up after themselves every evening and made sure every last detail was finished! Steve answered every question we had with politeness and a smile, he never got frustrated when we added things mid project or asked a million questions. Have had to redo the job twice and still not up to par. They don't give notice when they are coming and let themselves in your backyard unannounced. Leave your gates standing wide open when they leave. Leave trash and cigarettes everywhere. Brought dead sod out and installed over all sprinkler heads and pop up gutters in the yard. Used yellow spray foam around downspouts instead of properly sloping gutters to drain. Installed several broken or cracked pieces of stone. Set out our lawn chairs in the yard and helped themselves to a little afternoon break, and don't put anything back. Russ runs this business like an absolute idiot. I'm not even a landscaper, and I know 1/2 of this is done wrong. He promises you the world, and completely under-delivers. After he does everything wrong, he asks you 3 times to send a list of what needs fixed - like a professional shouldn't be able to look at it himself and correct it? This has been an absolute $37,000 nightmare. I cannot recommend this company any less. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!

But I think if I could give a zero star to Two Lawn Rangers, I would. From San Francisco, spending an enormous amount of time in Wichita for my work, we went ahead and bought a house in the tony neighborhood of Eastborough last October. With a half acre lot, and lots of trees, we had some fall cleaning to do to get rid of the fallen leaves, so we called Two Lawn Rangers this past January to do the job. They gave us a quote of $30/hour, but you would think that with all the experience they have they would eyball the job and say: "Hey this is a big job! It'll cost you more than a grand!" That disclosure would have made us rethink the provider. With neighbors telling us it should cost between $200 and $400 in TOTAL, the wife went ahead and gave the go ahead. We were thinking, "Jee, 10 hours plus materials should be enough right?" We got a bill for $1,200. Are you kidding me? Who does this without giving an estimate of total cost? Totally unprofessional. I paid $600 and told them to stuff it, and they threatened legal action. Nice. So I paid the balance. No sense sweating the small stuff. Fast forward to today, and we just got quoted $350 from a local provider to do the same job. Confirmation we got totally swindled by Two Lawn Rangers. Two Lawn Rangers charged us by zip code, stay the heck away from them. I suggest they change their name to Thugs Lawless Raiders.
