Angela at the front desk is rude. Dr. Teng was great but recently changed her availability to only Wednesday and Friday morning in person and phone appointments. This was not the case when I originally switched to her as my primary care. Dr. Teng also charges for phone appointments which I guess is something new. I had a sleep study done and was told I needed an appointment to go over the results. I told Angela just send me my results. I don't need someone to read it to me for a co-pay. I called today to get scheduled for my free annual physical and Angela made a point to say "Doctor will not be filling or renewing any prescriptions or discussing and other concerns." I should be able to discuss topics with my doctor during my visit. Due to lack of availability and front desk staff being rude I will find a new Doctor as I was also told. read more

Dr Teng has absolutely no bedside manner and comes off quite rude. Her office hours are only mornings as now ALL afternoon appointments are telehealth which never are very thorough And a waste of copay money. Also be aware she will dismiss you as a patient if you cancel appointments due to family emergencies or work obligations that run late even though you call well ahead of time. We waited a month to get my teenage son in to see Dr Teng. We were 12 minutes late due to an issue at home, and they turned us away flatly. There was not one person in the waiting room and only 1 car in front of the entire building. Hopefully they teach their office staff how to handle this with a little more grace. We will be finding a new doctor for him, and for me as well. Rude office staff. Dr Teng mentions behavior issue? There were zero behavior issues - that makes no sense. Sorry. My cell phone states 12 minutes. Regardless, stating you can no longer help me after I've requested my own records (which I will pick up on Monday) is irrelevant. I have had a lot of weird health issues these past few years, and she has managed them appropriately. I feel like I can talk to her openly and she has always taken my concerns seriously. If I could give negative reviews , this would be the place to do it . Beware of this scam of a "doctor " office ! Do not go here ! They are extremely unprofessional and unbelievably rude. I went to one appointment here. And it was my last . First off , the business is in a strip mall. A run down strip mall. They have since moved to a building behind the strip mall they were in with a piece of paper on the door for the change of address . You would think they would let their patients know they moved prior to an appointment. But they don't . It's not part of any medical hospital or affiliated to anyone reputable like Kaiser or Sutter . Dr Teng , mind you she was 45 minutes late to my appointment. Then when she did arrive , she was on her phone talking to her family member via FaceTime for over 25 minutes . She was flustered and all over the place because her dog was lost . Mind you , I understand that losing a pet is stressful . But when you're in the medical field , and you're meeting a new patient , could you not delegate or handle your personal matters outside of a patient's appointment? She made multiple phone calls, was checking her ring camera , and was honestly not present mentally or made me feel well about being there at all. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable with my interaction with her . She just tried to throw medicine prescriptions at me to get on to dealing with her personal matters . I paid a co-pay for my appointment and my insurance was billed for this waste of time . When I called to get a refill , I was told they ordered me bloodwork . I went to Sutter to get lab work , they never had orders for me . So I called the office , they told me to wait a couple of days and try again . I'm supposed to be fasting at this time . So I fasted again. I went to Sutter several days later , and still no lab orders. So I called again to the office for help . The person at the counter says , oh I can move it to Sutter , we had your orders sent somewhere else . I finally get my lab work another several days later . Two days after my lab work , I received a call from Teng's office that they needed to schedule an apt to go over my lab work . I scheduled a phone appointment with them for the next week to go over the lab results . The day before my phone appointment, they call my husband to confirm the phone appointment. He's confused why they called him instead of me . So he tells them they need to call me . They never did . The day of my appointment, about two hours before , Teng's office calls me to tell me they can't help me at my appointment . I asked why not . He said I owe them money from my first appointment. I have not once received a single piece of mail or any invoices for any out of pocket expenses from this office . I asked him to let me know what it's for . He refused to say and said for me to deal with their billing department repeatedly and rudely and kept saying he can't let me attend the appointment till the matter is resolved . I asked for the number . The guy I spoke to was Matthew that called . He was extremely rude and refused to help . I asked , how could they schedule me , and request lab work , etc if I owed money and then refuse to go over my lab results ? He told me the amount only . A whole whopping $200. That I never knew about . Then he said it was weird bc it showed I owe no money to them , but upon further digging I am in bad debt to them . I could tell I wasn't getting anywhere else with Matthew and asked for the billing department number. He gave me the number of 866-949-4565. They were even worse than Matthew . They couldn't even find me . I was on hold for 30 min from the lady who answered . She refused to talk to me or give me any details . I asked for records or a break down of the bill . She said she needed to ask if she could give me any info . Then gets back on and refused to give me any information . I called my insurance and filed a claim against these scams of a pathetic excuse of an office . Don't waste a second there ! I pulled and cancelled the prescription . I have since found an Actual doctor within the Sutter network that was so helpful and able to get me in immediately. No shadiness . No scams . Stay away from Teng medical foundation ! Because of her, my lab results are the best they've been in many years and I even lost 30 lbs while under her care. I find it difficult describing how happy my wife and I are with Dr. Teng. Unlike most doctors who'll prescribe medication to hit their big pharma quotas, Dr. Teng works with you to diagram the source of your issue. I've gone well over time as she tugs on threads leading to a problem's origin. Dr. Teng is also a very sweet person. She understands treating the person is equally important as treating the condition. She makes heartfelt attempts to connect with her patients whether that be actively listening during small talk, remembering facts about you from long ago, or even opening up and sharing cool stories. She once shared with me that she volunteers helping First Nation and impoverished people - talk about an amazing person. I heard the whole conversation as you were on speaker phone. My wife inquired why you were so aggressive and condescending during our visit on January 27, and you admitted that you have a short temper and can be aggressive at times especially when stressed due to high patient work load. You had mentioned to my wife that you did indeed put false and irrelevant personal information in my medical records cause you have anger issue. Just to let you know that I am deeply disappointed in your behavior on January 27 visit in your office. I agree with my wife that the blood work does not needs to be checked every few months except for the A1C diabetes. I usually get a full blood panel done once a year and a lipid panel done by my Cardiologist. And that's sufficient. Sorry you feel negative towards my wife, it really shows in our visit last week. But Mary always come to every medical appointment and advocate on my behalf as I have a benign tumor on my vocal cord which makes it very hoarse and hard to understand when speaking. I see nothing wrong with her behavior. She did not asked anything about billing that day. But just trying to understand my medical issues, like the assessment of the skin lesions. This appointment was only to be seen for the skin lesions and not anything else but you wanted to discuss more lab work which we already did it a couple of months ago. No reason to discuss again this soon. You also mentioned that all future lab work would be in My Sutter Heath on line and it does not show in the system. So that's why my wife inquired about it. As a patient and their family, we feel that we are entitle to be proactive with our healthcare and to be treated with respect and dignity. New to this area and was looking for a new PCP. Read Dr Teng's reviews and decided to go see her. For my first visit, she spent a lot of time going through my history, family history, past test results, etc... then she decided on several scans and tests that I should do. After my results were out, she went through and explained each diagnosis. Each time I leave, she hands me a card with handwritten notes on actions I have to take, which I think is very helpful. Dr. Teng is quick, kind and professional, but the billing office is highly unorganized. They informed me that they excepted my medical insurance. Halfway through the year they Lost their contract with my insurance, but when I asked them if they continue to except my insurance they said they did. I have been fighting with them and my insurance company for almost 4 months now and have spend 6+hrs on the phone trying to resolve an issue. They have told me they will call me back 5 times but they have not. They keep saying there is nothing they can do, I just need to keep following up.
