If I could give her and her office negative stars I would! Doc Azad and her office have horrible patient care, even worse communication. She half filled my mom's paper work out correctly and when I asked for a letter she never followed up on my calls or messages and after a month she just passed my request on to another doctor. she really shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine or anyone in her office for that matter. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I'm furious. This review is for the care my husband received from Dr Azad from August through November of last year. In August my husband had a major bicycle crash and shattered his shoulder. He needed a total shoulder replacement. It was a bit of a wait and pain management was an issue. This doctor refused to help, said Tylenol should be enough for his shoulder that was broken into 6 pieces. Fortunately the ER and urgent care doctors were on board with pain management. When the surgeon had a cancellation so he could do the shoulder replacement sooner, my husband needed an urgent pre-op EKG but she refused to find time to do it. He had to wait several more days with his shattered shoulder. Later he had a regular physical and bloodwork. His prostate numbers were very high, and he reported that he was having issues with urinating as well as several family members with prostate cancer including his Dad! She said that was normal for his age. She REFUSED to refer him for an MRI or to see the urologist. He went to see a different doctor in the same practice on an urgent appointment and mentioned it. shout out to Dr Posten who said oh, that needs to be checked. MRI showed enlarged irregularly shaped prostate with shadows. Biopsy was done. Last week my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Imagine if he'd stayed with Dr Azad's crappy advice. This doctor is not a good doctor. She is a gatekeeper to treatment. She does not give a crap about what's best for patients. Stay away. read more

Dr. Azad has been a great doctor for me. She takes the time to talk to me about my health, discuss options with me and makes sure that I have the referrals that I need to follow up for regular checkups and for special needs such as getting to see an ophthalmologist for my cataracts. I have never had a doctor that took the time to make sure I received the quality of care that she provides. I am very thankful to find such a knowledgeable and caring doctor. This review is based on the way Dr. Azad treated my father. She is rude, condescending and dismissive when we tried to explain symptoms. Due to her lack of care and follow through my 80 year old father ended up with an additional medical issue that now requires surgery. One office visit my father went on his own. He was left in the room for 45 minutes! He opened the door and walked out and was told Dr. Azad was on the phone and would be with him soon, 52 minutes later she came in and barely gave him the time of day. Never apologizing for being late. Beware and don't send your senior parents to Dr. Azad. read more

This review is about our experience or lack there of with Dr. Azad. My 75 year old mother's doctor of nearly 12 years unfortunately went out of network. My mother has Multiple Sclerosis and has been in a wheelchair for 25+ years. Any who, my mother was able to get an appointment with Dr. Azad's Nurse Practioner and was seen in her office about a month ago. Well, on February 10th 2023 my mother had a situation where all of a sudden she was completely delusional, seeing Spiders and grass growing on the walls. We had to take her to the hospital where she stayed for a week. It was determined that she has several tumors in her brain behind her eyes. After a week in the hospital they brought her home in an ambulance and then transferred her to the hospital bed we had delivered. My mother needs in home care. Unfortunately in home care needed to be authorized by her physician. The NP she was seen by at Dr. Azad's office of does not have the authority to authorize in home care and the appointment with Dr. Azad isn't for another 3 weeks. This is where the problem begins. We called Dr. Azad's office and asked her if she could please authorize in home care so professional nurses can come help with my now bed ridden mother's needs such as bathing and other personal care. We were very surprised when they said NO. For whatever reason Dr. Azad insists on seeing my mother in person in her office before she will authorized in home care. Now I don't know about you but I don't have access to an ambulance and a gurney to transport my mother to Dr. Azad's office. After pleading with the office staff to help us, the NP agreed to see my mother on March 2nd rather than wait until the March 8th appointment with Dr. Azad. That does us absolutely no good. The NP at Dr. Azad's office apparently doesn't have the authority to authorize in home health care. So there we were, stuck with no in home care help. I don't know about you but we're not a wealthy family. We don't have the money to hire a private ambulance to take my mother to see Dr. Azad. Luckily my mother's previous doctor that went out of network is helping us. We didn't know what to do so we call her office and explained what was happening. She agreed to help my mother by authorizing her in home care no appointment necessary. Now my mother is getting the help she needs and the care she deserves. I want to give a shout out to Dr. Bisla. She is our guardian angel. Without hesitation she stepped in and took over my mother's care. Did I mention that she is no longer in my mother's network? After reading this review if you have a problem with Dr. Azad or her staff try a real doctor. Dr. Bisla is awesome. She actually cares about her patients and their well-being. This review is about my mother's experience with Dr. Azad. She needed medication for a vacation, as well as several surgeries, and Dr. Azad did nothing. She made everything difficult for my mother, and she really did not care about the real health issues that were going on with my mother. In a recent 50 minute post-op visit, she spent 7 minutes with her. Every Sutter doctor associated with our insurance within 30 miles is filled up except for Dr. Azad, and it is clear that it is a result of how she does her job. My mother doesn't refuse going back to many places, but she walked in and said it was the worst doctor experience she has had - she will not be returning. She is probably going to end up driving 50 miles to a new doctor, and that is probably going to be worth it. read more

I recently moved to yuba city and im glad that i found a great doctor like Dr. Azad . She is caring and listen to all of your concerns and does not rush through your appointment.She makes an effort to get to know you as a person and will always give you the time and care you need. She is a great doctor and i would recommend anyone to her. You can trust your life with her. She really does care about each person and wants to keep them healthy. read more

Dr. Azad has been our doctor for quite some time now. We are both in our sixties, and we both rate her as one of the best doctors that we have ever had. I'm diabetic, with high blood pressure (now controlled with medication), and a chronic Kidney stone producer. This year Dr. Azad, along with her Sutter Health team, was able to discover that I had stage 1 Kidney cancer. The tumor was removed in time, and I no longer have any cancer. Dr. Azad has incredible knowledge, experience, and she listens to us about our ailments. She takes immediate action, it needed, and monitors our health as we grow older. My wife had a heart attack many years ago, and she suffers from the usual ailments, as well. We are extremely proud to have Dr. Azad as our primary care physician. read more

I have been a patient of doctor Azad for quite some time, and I can tell you from my perspective she is an amazing physician. She is extremely intelligent and really has her patients best interest at heart. She is pro active in her approach, and did everything she possibly could for me to have success with my health. She takes her time and doesn't make you feel rushed or just another chart on her caseload she is kind and knowledgeable in every area. If she can't help she finds the right doctor or dietician etc to help. She has an impeccable bedside manner, and a heart of gold, which shows every time she has treated me.
