Paying the concierge fee is absolutely worth it for the peace of mind it gives me as a first time Mom. I can message the MD on the portal or, today, after my daughter had a fall, I was able to get a telehealth appointment in 7 minutes! It reinforced how great this place is. If you're a parent looking for a pediatrician, please read: To all of the doctors and staff at 10th St. Pediatrics, Our son Oliver is a patient of Dr. Stern. Today he had his first severe injury, a laceration to his face. He fell while playing and his head began to bleed profusely. We immediately called the office. As it turns out Dr. Stern was the physician on call. What transpired was disappointing and scary. When we explained the situation we were shocked that the voice on the other end of the phone, this person who was there the day our son was born, had zero empathy and offered no help. "Go to an Urgent Care or an Emergency Room." The little help offered was a phone number to a pediatric Urgent Care facility, which I had to call Dr Stern back while my son bled because she gave us the wrong number. This time she sounded simply annoyed that we were bothering her. Thankfully a friend of ours is a patient at Dr. Jay Gordon's office and he graciously called to offer his assistance. He asked us to text him pictures of the wound, walked us through several options, one of which included a plastic surgeon who would come to our house so we could limit any contact with Covid patients. Again, he is not our doctor but still asked us to call him after to let him know how things went. It's now 9:30pm, 9 hours since our initial call to Dr Stern, and nothing. Not a text or a call to ask, how is my patient? Does he have a concussion? Did he need stitches? The answer is, yes. He did. The world is so scary right now and we truly believed Tenth St. Pediatrics was a place we could feel safe and that would help us if we were ever truly in need. Today that idea was dispelled and as much as I don't want to sound mellow dramatic, it was heartbreaking. There was so much more Dr. Stern could have done to help even if should couldn't apply the stitches. While our son bled profusely on our kitchen floor we felt abandoned. Besides the bills we pay for visits, isn't that what the extra $500 a year was suppose to get us? Someone who would be there for us if we were ever in need after hours? I don't know who will read this or if anyone in the office will care, but we will not be coming back there. We will make sure no one we love or care about doesn't hear this story before they consider Tenth St. Pediatrics for their child. But most of all we hope the partners at your practice will consider this email and learn from it. We put our children's lives in your hands and have faith that you will be there for us in our time of need. Sometimes we don't just need doctors, we need healers. read more

She suggested some tests that helped to diagnose our 11 month old with a very rare disease (Kawasaki disease) and she had us go to the proper children's hospital for treatment in time. On top of all that, Dr. Cassidy gives reasonable and helpful suggestions on when and how to transition to solid food, switch to cow's milk, wean from bottles, and tips on developmental milestones. You can call and get an answer ASAP, email, or call the dr on call & you never have to wait. She also has visiting rights at many hospitals including Cedars & Children's which I love. She absolutely loves kids & spends so much time w/ you during your visits & answers all your questions with out making you feel rushed or silly for asking. I was previously at one of the more popular ped offices for the westside & it was the total opposite experience. The dr sometimes took OVER 24 hours to respond to my question, which was unacceptable for me. So glad I found 10th st & Dr Cassidy. The premium you pay to be a patient is 100% WORTH it. read more

We love Dr. Cassidy! We interviewed a lot of pediatricians before having our first baby and we felt safe with Dr. Cassidy. As someone who works in an ER as a social worker, I had a lot of questions for Dr. Cassidy and a lot of anxieties that have come from what I've seen at work. Dr. Cassidy has done an amazing job of calming any anxieties and concerns we have. She responds timely to emails and phone calls (even on weekends, sorry!!) and is always caring and compassionate. Our visits to the office are always fun and all of our questions are answered. Our (now) toddler loves the office staff and dr. Cassidy and leaves with a smile even after his vaccines! He looks forward to his visits and seeing the dr. Dr. Cassidy has been wonderful with our child and has also been very supportive of me as a new mother. We saw Dr Lisa Stearn and she was a capital B! She was condescending to her staff and rude to us because we weren't as petite as she was. She was incredibly judgemental and her bedside manner was cold. I can not believe this office is a pediatrics office she acts more like a mean girl and bully. I would never refer anyone here. Dr. Stern truly cares about our children, has been an major advocate for them, and has gone above and beyond for us multiple times. She has called me on many late nights and weekends to check on our children and has been super responsive anytime we've called with a concern. She has a ton of connections to other doctors and has called in favors with specialists to get us in day of. I can't say enough good things about her! I think we've seen every doctor in the office at some point and have had great experiences with every one of them. Dr. Hardart was on call and went completely out of her way to take care of us on a holiday after she had already left the office. I also love that this office has very extensive hours and that you don't wait in the waiting room for long, if at all. The office staff is friendly and the nurses are very sweet as well. Dr. Marcy Hardart has been our daughter's pediatrician since birth and she's absolutely terrific. She's just plain great with kids. During yearly physicals, she always takes time with my daughter (now 12) and not only attends to her physical health, but also focuses on her mental well-being as well. Dr. Hardart makes the appointment pleasant and fun and is very thorough on all aspects of health. When we've contacted her with medical questions she's always gets back to us right away with sound and practical advice. My daughter really looks forward to seeing her. We love the Tenth Street practice. We have been going to the office since our daughter was born ~2.5 years ago based on several strong recommendations from friends and haven't been disappointed. Our doctor, Marcy Hardart, has been amazing. She is patient, even keeled and not at all judgmental but has an opinion, and we always trust her recommendations. We have also seen a couple of other doctors over the years - Dr. Wasson and Dr. Cassidy, who were both great. The front office staff is always friendly as well! Since COVID, the office has been clear about its policy changes and has safely and quickly adapted, doing some telemed appts where appropriate, but also still safely taking in person appts. It was very important to us to have flexibility in hours since we are working parents. Tenth Street has great hours including early mornings and weekends. I believe they are open 365 days/year. They charge a slightly higher "admin" fee than some other pediatricians, but for us it has been worth it - we have never had a problem getting an appointment when needed, which is often same-day. We have also called the office for advice on smaller issues (bad diaper rash, etc.) and always get a timely call-back. Overall, a great group of caring, friendly and trustworthy doctors! read more

Our family has been with Dr. Cassidy since our first son was born, and when we interviewed several pediatricians prior to his birth, we felt most comfortable with Dr. Cassidy. We like her communication style, she's patient and able to really listen to our concerns and truly answer our questions (as in some doctors talk a bunch after you ask a question, and afterwards you are like um ok ... that doesn't answer anything I just asked). She gets back to you in a timely manner, and just overall an incredible pediatrician. Our second son experienced a medical issue soon after he was born and had to be hospitalized for weeks, and Dr. Cassidy was with us the WHOLE way. The way she communicates and explains things made a huge difference for us and we really trust and relied on her when there was so much information thrown at us. She really went above and beyond, took the time to check-in even when she went on vacation while we were in the hospital, did conference calls and zoom calls with us, and we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done. The office staff has been great as well, their online portal has lots of information I can pull from. We are happy to pay that yearly fee just so that we can be apart of a practice that has competent doctors. read more

Doctor Caryn Cassidy is my pediatrician for all three of my kids from day one! She is the best and I highly recommend her! She is such an amazing doctor her response time is amazing her communication is on point any time I have concern with any of my kids she always makes time for me to come in if needs be. We met Dr. Hardart after the birth of our first son and she is now our pedi for all three children (current ages 6mo, 2y and 5y). My two children (ages 1 and 3) have been going to Dr. Hardart since they were born, and we couldn't be any happier! We LOVE her! As working parents, we appreciate the extended hours and weekend appointments that Tenth Street offers. Additionally, as a first time mom, I was incredibly stressed and worried about everything, and Dr. Hardart had such a wonderful way of being informative and supportive, while also keeping me from overreacting and helping me remain calm. She has always been accessible when I have any questions, and we've had great experiences with all of the other doctors in the practice that we've seen (Dr. Cassidy, Dr. Stern and Dr. Wasson). We have recommended Tenth Street to MANY of our friends whose kids are now patients and they have had great experiences as well. read more

I have a wasted money on the administrative fee with them and suggest that anyone reading this review find another practice to pay $500/year since they don't return calls and have a very unprofessional front desk. It's a shame and I'll be very happy to start with another SM doctor who charges a similar fee, but has a friendly staff that is also efficient. Move on from this place. read more

10th Street Pediatric is nothing short of incredible. The doctors range from well above average to five star. Ditto the nurses, and the office people are bar none the best medical office people you can ask for. Weekend appointment coverage is pretty good, and phone support callback (oncall docs call back _fast_) is excellent. We drive from Seal Beach (we used to live in Mar Vista) to here because it's that good. read more

But the other administrative and billing functions are terrible - multiple calls and emails to get them to bill insurance correctly which I need to undertake every time we visit the office make the overall experience a challenge. read more

The way the doctors put their devoted time to be with their patients and really spending quality time explaining their thoughts and concerns makes me feel good about it. My daughter is almost 18 and I still bring her here. Every dr. we have seen has been caring and smart. Our personal phsyician there is Dr. Suparna Jain, and I feel like we won the lottery with her. My children have been patients of the practice since my oldest child was born nearly 18 years ago. We have had nothing but the best experiences and care when dealing with the entire practice. I do not recommend this office to any parents. I was referred to Dr. Hardart when my son was born. After his first appointment she kept asking me if I had postpartum depression. I told her no I did not feel any of those symtoms. When my son was three weeks old he was no longer able to hold down his milk. I addressed my concerns with Dr. Hardart and she did not have an answer, a solution or any guidance. We ended up in the ER a few times because my baby appreared to be in pain as well. I knew something was wrong. The ER would tell me to follow up with his doctor and I still got no answers. Dr. Hardart kept saying it was postpartum depression. Then I made an appointment with Dr. Wasson and he walked into the room and started yelling at me he was shaking and telling me that I needed to stop calling the office and going to the ER. As I was walking out a staff member pulled me aside and gave me a number to another pediatrician. I called that doctor and they saw my son right away and had him admitted to the Long Beach children's hospital. The new doctor and the team of GI doctors were finally providing answers and a treatment plan. My child had a real medical issue and these doctors did not care. I do not recommend this office as they are extremely unprofessional and do not care if your child is sick. My child needed help and they did not provide that. read more

We have been with Tenth Street practice for almost 13 years now. Our OB/GYN recommended dr. Gurfield who was the smartest doctor I have ever come across and my heart broke when he retired. He recommended another doctor in the practice dr. Hardart. We have been seeing her for several years now and she is as phenomenal as dr. Gurfield was. I have twin boys so accidents were pretty common for us, from plastic, to simple stitches to orthopedic. ‍ Tenth Street Pediatrics was ALWAYS there for us day AND night 7 days a week. There is no other practice that is so attentive as this one. I saw a review of dr. Stern that wasn't very flattering. She is not my favorite either but with 5 doctors there total you never have to deal with her if you don't want to. She is not warm and fuzzy to hold your hand so it's a matter of preferences. I find the rest of the doctors superb and can't recommend them highly enough. Please don't let one bad review scare you away from this wonderful practice, fantastic doctors, super friendly front stuff and great patient nurses. Dr. Lisa Stern is fantastic - she cares for both of our children and we couldn't ask for better support. Not only can we get in same day to see her or any of the other fantastic doctors, but she also responds to emails quickly and calls/ follows up when anything happens. She went above and beyond when our infant needed surgery and made a house call pre-surgery. She graciously met us at the hospital to welcome our first and has since been there every step of the way for both of our children.
