We opted for a bottle of cider to accompany our meal since we'd just been in the Normandy area the day before. A couple of the small starters were seafood based and I didn't love those (not a fan of most seafood) but it was fun to try something new. Everything else was perfect and delicious. I've never had such a beautiful meal in such a nicely decorated ambiance. The meal felt particularly special because we were seated adjacent to the chef's table. We were fortunate to have a nearly front row seat to watch the kitchen work their magic. I'd never seen the inter-workings of a high end kitchen like this and spent much of the meal watching in awe as each chef flawlessly executed their part of the meal. It was amazing how quiet it was! The staff spoke in hushed voices and the sound of the food cooking was the loudest noise coming from the kitchen. Everyone we interacted with - all of the cooks, the head chef, the waiters, and waitresses - were perfectly polite and kind to us.
