This was a great tour of the pyramids that we booked with Viator. We had a good mix of historical information and walking around. This was a nonstop tour which I loved - The entire focus was on the archaeological site. Robert was a great tour guide and answered all the questions from the group. The bus is very comfortable and has a bathroom. I would definitely recommend brining water, layers and toilet paper. When we got to the site, it was 49 degrees Fahrenheit and by the time we left, it was in the 70s. A hat and sunglasses are also necessary as there is little coverage. When we got to the site, the women's room was already out of toilet paper by 9 am. This is why I recommend bringing some of your own! They have some shops selling water, coffee and treats but it's also a good idea to bring food of your own. read more

If you visit Mexico City this is a must do. It's an hour from the city. There's great views leading up to the space and if you have a guide you can hear about Mexico City history. There are vendors there selling things. Be prepared to either bargain or just say no. There is a lot of walking start to finish. The pyramids you can climb are steep so be careful and take your time. If it's windy it can get dusty. If it's hot I can be miserable. But it's got history like few places on the planet. read more

Massive archeological complex with pyramids, ruins and paintings. I don't know how you don't give this 5 stars. Pyramids are what they are: a glimpse into our past. This location is very well preserved and maintained and it's all here for your viewing and appreciation. Cost is $220 pesos per person and it's not something you see everyday. I loved it. Surreal. I can't even believe how amazingly incredible it was to be there. The pictures don't do it justice. Imagine what went on here hundreds of years ago. The carvings themselves were some of the most intricate things I've seen done when the tools back in those days were not like the tools we have today. Highly recommend visiting. read more

I was recommending these pyramids by many of the locals from Mexico. The ride from CDMX was about and hour and 15 minutes but to get back was almost 2 hours (traffic was horrible) thankfully our taxi waited for us. The path of the pyramids is about a mile and half in length. We made it to the end but there isn't much other than vendors and snapping a picture or two. The tickets were about $10 USD They do offer tours but it's not something I would recommend unless you want to walk with a tour guys for 2 hours or so. read more

They do not allowed people to climb on the top of the pyramid anymore after the pandemic so you can only walk around. I came here with a tour guide after the hot air ballon ride. It is hot so make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen. Once inside, there are a lot of people who will tried to sell you the status of the pyramid of the sun and the moon. Those people are poor so make sure you bring a lot of cash to gave to them. I didn't buy anything but I gave them a lot of money instead. It as beautiful pyramid of the sun and the moon but I guess they didn't do any reconstructed or added anything to it, just leaves it as alone in the old day. If you have extra times and do nothing then visit here otherwise you can skip this area. read more

An incredible cultural experience. The entry and experience is streamlined. There are many polite vendors inside. There are many street dogs so make sure to have doggie treats. They are well mannered and need love. If you like history then you should come visit this place when you go to Mexico City. This place has been on my wish list of places to go even before having kids and finally we did it! Some people were not impressed by it maybe they just visited by themselves or their tour guide sucks, but we booked our tour from Viator and our tour guide was amazing! he was able to make us use our imagination and make us feel that we were back in time. As soon as we reached the corridor where most vendors where at, we couldn't help but imagine that, that was the same ground/corridor where they walked going to the pyramid of the sun or the pyramid of the moon to either bring their offerings, sacrifices (LoL) or held celebrations. There are no trees obviously so I suggest sunscreen and wear your summer hat. There are nearby restaurants there too outside of their vicinity where you can still see the pyramids. I'm not sure if drones are allowed if you want some aerial pictures or videos. read more

Pyramids of the sun and the moon are by far one of Mexico City's hidden treasures. We decided to do our own tour and take an uber there. It was the perfect day not too hot and nice breeze. There was almost no line and we went on a Saturday noon trip which was great not too wait that long. Once we were in decided to walk on our own without tour guide. This was the best decision for us because we took our time and no one rushing us. Geezzz have to tell you that the climbing to the pyramid of the sun was exhausting but well worth it to the top. When you get up there, WOW! the views from up there was just breath taking! It's the most amazing scenery and relaxing. It felt like the world had just stopped to admire the beauty of mother nature. I learned so much about the Indigenous culture and Mexican history. We will definitely be returning here in the near future. read more
