We needed to pay for medical bills and expenses related to the accident since my husband was injured permanently -we were also looking for some funds to apply to future expenses. This is not an easy nor short process. Our attorney had told us upfront it would be more than a year to get remuneration. After about a year's time, we were advised that our attorney had left the firm . We were assigned a new attorney immediately and she called to introduce herself . Overall, it took two years to go through the process which included taking us to a mediation we were fortunate enough to be able to agree to the settlement, the other insurance company offered.
