The Maternity Photo shoot was on the beach in Kailua. My photos where beautiful!!! I was able to change clothes, take pics on the beach and in the water. My photos came out amazing. I had my baby boy via c sec. Teri went above and beyond and came to my house to do his newborn shots. My baby was four days old. She was so patient with us and my baby, positioning him in all kinds of cute poses. Her prices are very reasonable and I would recommend her to any and everyone. Very professional and personable. I can't say enough good things about Teri! We did newborn/family photos when my (now 2 1/2) year old son was a newborn. Her prices were a steal for the quality! We got out classic Hawaiian beach photos done, and I couldn't be more satisfied. She was very accessible through email and text and got our pictures back to us in a timely manner. I had gained a bunch of weight with the pregnancy, and asked her to edit me a little and make my huge arms look not so huge. I looked amazing in the photos and you couldn't even tell she had helped me out a bit (okay a lot). I have quite a bit of experience with photographers as I have had professional photos of my growing family, and even before we had kids I would get pet photographers to take pictures of our animals. We are a military family and have lived on 4 states on the last 10 years. So when I tell you I know quality when I see it, I'm telling you I do. I recently recommended a friend to get a Hawaiian photo shoot before she left the island, and she couldn't say enough things about how amazing she is as a person AND how excellent her work is. If you had one of either it would be worth it, but both? Love it! We recently got our family photos done and 1 year old pictures with my youngest child. They were nothing short of amazing! You can tell Teri cares and is never in a hurry to rush away. She's great with kids and makes miracles happen. My four small crazy children look like little models. I was stunned to see her with negative reviews at all! I would have been shocked to see a 4 star review, honestly. The two one star reviews both claim that she somehow made up reviews to fake herself. I looked at her other reviews and they are spaced out almost years, and they claim that they were all made up and done right at the same time. Well, haters are going to hate I guess. I'm not fake! I live in Ewa, and only know Teri in a professional capacity. We aren't friends, and I'm not doing her a favor. I just wanted to give her a complement for her excellent work. So I figured what better way than to leave a yelp review. I guess people on the internet like to go on rampages and say hateful things about people. Oh Teri. I have a pit in my stomach when I read your comments because your numbered rebuttals seem so justified. Maybe I was wrong for judging the filtration rate of your reviews...but then 18 reviews written within three days of each other from people who have only written one review EVER on Yelp? Hmmm. And only 4 additional since then (including mine and another user's 1-star-review)? But my opinion (which I'm entitled to, without being called, "slander," per this web site's terms and conditions) is probably off. I bought the Groupon because I LOVED your photos on your website. We were so excited to have a woman with such talent take our precious baby's 6 months photos...a big landmark for new parents :) Our high expectations of you were probably also our fault. We assumed much too quickly that what you advertised and what we would get would be similar in quality, especially with a, "Canon 5D Mark II." The costumes probably wouldn't have been an issue if we hadn't been so upset with your customer service. Maybe all of our attempts to contact you went to your junk email (but apparently not when we first requested your services). However, I do have 4 emails with the photo number and requests to send us our 11x14 (image 0275- just in case you decide to give us what we actually paid for). I also have the phone records, showing that we tried calling you from both of our cellphones multiple times, wanting to address these issues. Not to mention the calls I attempted from my work number...maybe 4 times? But of course, you being, "swamped with clients," we should've tried harder. And a watermark on your photos- COMPLETELY understandable. Except that that was not mentioned in your Groupon advertisement. "One-hour outdoor Keiki photo shoot with costumes, one 11x14, and online gallery." That is verbatim from Groupon. There is no $350/$500 charge mentioned. Also, nowhere did it say that the photographer could/would insult clientele and/or their families during shoot...or that if the keiki was well behaved, photo shoot time would be cut in half. We shouldn't have given him a nap on the way there! Shoot. But bad Groupon for not including all that! Hopefully you never do business with THEM again (probably not, due to the several complaints they received...per Groupon Customer Service employee). I'm terribly sorry to report that my previous review still stands (with even further conviction now) seeing as how you responded to my negative Yelp review within 4 days of me writing it, but yet we still have not received any personal replies to our countless phone calls and emails, and no 11x14 of our 6-month-old baby; a priceless memory that is now lost, because we would not pay $100 per proof, or $350 for that steal-of-a-deal CD. Found Teri on a Groupon deal and also saw her photos taken of my friends' family. Was excited to work with her to do a couples shoot. We had a couple of appt mishaps on trying to get together for the shoot. Both of us were at fault for the two appts made, but when we started the photoshoot, we were comfortable and loving her energy. My hair blew all over the place in most of my shots which kept me from wanting the CD & copyrights for $350. And I would've prefered the original shoot location next time. The lighting and the help with posing was great. All in all, I chose 3-4 prints and received the free enlargment included with the groupon. I would use her services again in the future, esp. After I learn how to do my eye makeup better. read more

Teri exceeded all our expectations for our wedding photos! She was so much fun to work with, had great ideas and a fantastic eye. We have sooooo many great photos that it will be difficult to choose which go into an album or frames. Teri was professional, engaging and guided us throughout the wedding day so that we had quite a variety in the types of photos - from photojournalism, to arty, to more traditional. She captured us as a happy, glowing, in love couple getting married with our dear friends and family. Isn't that what it's all about? Teri is an amazing photographer! She did my son's infant photos six years ago. Since then she has done my daughter's newborn photos and our yearly family photos for the past few years. Teri has an amazingly artistic eye. I feel like many photographers do the same old poses and photos, but Teri definitely has an eye for something new and different. My parents even have framed her photos of our family! Teri is wonderful to work with. She can take my cranky daughter who won't listen to a word and turn out some amazing photos. Teri gets a smile out of my kids even when I don't think they smiled at all. She has been worth every penny!! We went for our family vacation in Hawaii July 2013. We purchased Teri's Groupon. We were beyond excited to get our photos taken by someone with her resume. On the day of our photo appointment, she tried to cancel. My husband persisted and she agreed to keep the appointment. Initially, I was disappointed that our apt time was in the sun and there were so many people around us for the photos. Several of our pictures include other people in the background. We spent an additional $400 on purchasing the CD. We were pleased with the CD after weeks of waiting for it. To day, 3 months later, we have not received our free 11x14. Nor have we heard from Teri to advise us what the delay is. The experience was not the best one. Her website shows wonderful photos. We got great photos but nothing like her website. At this point, I just want to get my free photo and forget about the whole experience... read more
