Termas romanas de Santa María, is one of two Roman Baths sites in Antequera.
They are named for their neighbor, as they sit right beside Real Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor. Together, they are a fascinating and unreal sight to behold!
These baths were discovered in 1988, around the time that many Roman ruins began being unearthed in Spain.
These baths clearly depict a frigidarium (cold room), tepidarium (warm room), and caldarium (hot room).
There is also a polychrome mosaic featuring the sea god Oceanus, which is kept covered from the elements so you cannot see it except for images online. read more
