It's not what you say…read more.. I knew they wouldn't have a John Deere belt - I thought that since I had all the specifics, they would be able to cross-reference it to one they carried. The ladies at the parts counter couldn't be troubled to look. There is a Grasshopper belt that would have been a direct replacement- I found it on Google later - took me less than 30 seconds. Now I know the local John Deere dealer also handles Stihl. So sorry, Mower Shop. If your clerk would have taken 30 seconds I might still be a customer.

Home Depot scheduled a free Return Pickup between 6 am and 8 pm. NO ONE SHOWED UP - A PICKUP WAS NEVER DONE. HD's only remedy is for me to schedule another pickup (which they will not guarantee a pickup) and for me to waste another 14 hours waiting for a nonexistent pickup with no tracking or confirmation. i HAVE TO EAT THE COST BECAUSE OF HD'S MISTAKE.
