Home Depot Fort Smith delivered the wrong item. I don't drive so I can't make a return. The Point Is - this was Home Depot's error not mine. Home Depot scheduled a free Return Pickup between 6 am and 8 pm. NO ONE SHOWED UP - A PICKUP WAS NEVER DONE. HD's only remedy is for me to schedule another pickup (which they will not guarantee a pickup) and for me to waste another 14 hours waiting for a nonexistent pickup with no tracking or confirmation. i HAVE TO EAT THE COST BECAUSE OF HD'S MISTAKE. read more

The Home Depot Fort Smith has to be the Home Depot in their entire organization! Their Customer Service is Terrible, let's start with Curbside Pickup so you do an order in the HD App and select curbside pickup well don't waste your time because you're going inside to get it, that is unless it's something that has to be loaded! And well if that's the case be prepared to lose about 2 hours out of your day and to be ignored.....to contrast this, The Blue company curbside pull up checkin on the app and within 3 minutes someone is at your door bringing your stuff out and their app acknowledges you're there! Now HD no such thing, you checkin and get a message that says call the store so you spend 15 minutes on hold get someone that sounds like they just ran from the back of the store that answers and tells you they are really busy and it's gonna be a while before they can bring it out! And they are not lying plan on calling back 5 more times, oh and don't think you can go inside and get it.....Because even though you were told it was ready? It's not they haven't pulled the order yet and don't think you can go pull it yourself that's and entirely different argument I had to deal with! Now the latest I was at self check and was having a problem entering my infor to get my Veteran Discount and Gumby the epitome of not my job told me he couldn't help if I couldn't remember what my number there was nothing he could do which is inaccurate and I confronted him on that and he said if he helped he would lose his job! And that's the point I lost my shit! Anyway if you want to be ignored, treated like crap, treated like an interruption asking for help and just get want to get pissed off well then shopping at The Home Depot in Fort Smith AR is just where you need to go! read more

If you've ever been in one of these giant "home improvement" stores then you know the drill. The only thing that really makes them any different from each other is the customer service. This one came up a little short in that department. My wife and I were looking to completely re-do a bathroom. We spent quite a bit of time looking at sinks, tubs, vinyl flooring, sheet rock, faucets, and everything else you can think of that can fit in a bathroom. During all the searching and decision making, the closest we came to being approached by an employee was some old man sitting behind a desk that would shout out to anyone walking by, "Need help finding anything?" We needed to have a tub removed from the highest shelf so my wife tracked down an employee and brought him over. I explained which tub we needed and the guy gave me a spiel about how he would have to block the isle and get a lift to get the tub. It was pretty obvious that he was trying to talk us out of buying that tub. We wheeled three of their big, overloaded, metal carts through the entire store without a single employee offering us help. We pulled each item off the cart so it could be scanned then loaded them back up without a single employee offering us help. We went outside and loaded all of our purchases into our vehicle without a single employee offering us help. Are you seeing a trend? There isn't a huge difference between Lowe's and The Home Depot as companies but between the two stores in Fort Smith, I think I'll choose Lowe's from now on. read more

The Fort Smith Home Depot (FSHD) WILL NEVER get another dollar from me AGAIN! The people they have at the Customer Service Desk (CSD) are liars! I came into to make a return with a receipt and one of the worker bees said I could not return the items I had purchased less than a week ago. I initially accepted this response, but I turned around and requested to speak to the store manager. This little girl, who says she was the CSD manager, comes over to talk to me. I told her I wanted to talk to the store manager and I knew she was not the store manager. I quietly waited there and then this young man asked to see my receipt and issued me a refund. I will go to Lowe's, Ollie's, Sutherlands, or Ace Hardware, but I will NEVER SHOP AT OR RECOMMEND FSHD TO ANYONE! read more

Since moving to the area in '97 Home Depot has been our favorite go-to place for all the remodeling we've done on our 70+ yr old farm house. Until recently. They have a manager I have not seen before, and frankly, I think he needs to be replaced. He did not listen fully to my complaint and constantly talked over me. He was more interested in telling me his view instead of hearing me out. When I tried to ask a question (several times) he'd jump ahead and tell me his procedure or how I should do it, before I could even finish what I was trying to explain. He has no clue what customer service is all about. Actually, in the 20 years we've been shopping at this location, customer service has declined quite a bit. It's so disappointing. BY THE WAY, we are building a new 3600+ sq ft home with full disability access features as my spouse is a disabled Vet. As much as I prefer Home Depot to Lowes, we'll be taking our money over to Lowes. read more

This Home Depot store in Ft. Smith Sucks! I have probably made my last trip to this know-nothing out-of-stock establishment! I have shopped at this Ft. Smith Home Depot since it opened back in the 90's. I have spent thousands and thousands of doallrs at this store over the years. This store has gone from bad to worse the past 10 years. Seems all the adults that acually knew anything and had good customer service skills have retired or passed on. My visit last night was the final straw! We traveled to the Ft. Smith store after working last night (45 minutes) to purchase several hundred dollars of plumbing supplies since this store is open until 10:00 pm. We found numerous fittings out of stock on the shelf and little assistance by staff to locate the parts they claim to have in stock. At the check-out stand.....the volume discount on pipe does NOT ring up correctly on the register. (Without our help this would not have gotten corrected) The story of our disapointment over the past couple years could go on for pages with this establishment. Last night I just decided this is it! Not ever buying another thing from the Ft. Smith store. In the future I will purchase more from small local stores or go to Lowes. I will say the Fayetteville Home Depot store is a well stocked store and the customer service is excellent. read more
