!Warning! This company claimed I had a rat infestation in my attic. This was four months after they, and a home inspector, found No issues. The sleazy salesman, (under the guise of an exterminator), had planted a dead Rat in my attic. Further, he claimed these rats had come in through my dryer vent, and showed me a photo of a chewed on dryer vent hose. I was also told, that there were "dozens" of rat tunnels running through my attic. They sold me contract for replacement of my insulation. Oddly, I saw no rat droppings Anywhere. I subsequently, went on line and discovered this tactic is a common scam practiced by pest control companies. I had a home inspector confirm, that there was no damage to my dryer vent, or evidence of rats in my attic. I went to the local office, to dispute the $10,000 insulation contract, they scared me into signing. I demanded they void the contract. The manager, Travis, was apparently in on the whole scam. He made excuses why I could have a rat infestation, and zero signs of rat droppings. I then proceeded to make, almost daily calls, for weeks, to get my pest contract Terminated. I got nowhere with this company. No one at their call center, says anything accept, that they will "escalate it". I even told them, that I want to involve the local media, and this made zero difference. I finally had to walk back in the office of these creeps, to get their termite traps removed off my property, and proceed with voiding the maintenance contract. I still have not gotten written confirmation that the contract has been voided. Going forward, I will take legal action and contact the media, if necessary. Beware! Travis, Brandon, and the rest of these people at the Ocala branch, are Unscrupulous Rats! I'm a senior, and live in a senior community. They have no compunction about ripping off a senior- so consider yourself a target. This whole incident was staged, and I was very much, a target. Fraud, such as this, is so egregious, that these people should rightfully be prosecuted. read more

Anyone else. Unreliable, crooks. Have cameras, never got out of his truck. Took a picture of the front of my house. That's about it. I paid almost $500 for three treatments. Attempted to speak to manager. Generally speaking hung up on me. Go anywhere else. Have a phone call with tech saved when he indicated he was no longer at my house. His report states that he was still there. Report is a lie. read more

I hired for rodent control an estimated three week job, and attic insulation which was to follow the rodent work. Terminix claimed to complete both jobs and close the contracts in a one hour period on the first day anyone showed up without advising me (I'm 91 and couldn't check their work). This resulted in months of personal anguish and stress!! Do not use them. Rated one star as I couldn't do less. read more

The Terminix Rep that came to our home n Citrus Springs was the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. We had to ask him to leave. tt hey we're supposed to send someone lease out and had the gall to have the same person call us to come back out. The manager James didn't even call us back to address our concerns. And even charged us for the visit. Horrible service !!!! read more

Terrible service and no follow through. We had a flea infestation and called for help. The technician sold my husband a termite contract we didn't need and promised to get rid of the fleas. We had to exterminate the fleas ourselves and when we tried to cancel termite contract they want to charge $1000 fee. We are elderly and feel victimized. Do not use them. read more

I have been using Terminix for a few years now. I think they have decent prices and they offer many services. They offer a lot more than I ever knew like insulation lol. I did not use them for that though. But, what really makes using Terminix worth it is Giovanni. He is the technician who comes out most often and he is an outstanding guy. He is extremely knowledgeable. I will call him thinking I have a problem with a specific insect and on many occasions, he will show me that it is actually something else. He will take the time to explain why he is doing things and why they will help. He has been able to deal with every problem I have had in a timely manner. He is always in such a good mood. It sounds weird to say that your exterminator coming by brightens your day but lol, it's true. You probably won't go wrong with Terminix but you definitely won't go wrong if you get Giovanni!! read more

Contracted with company for termite service and 7 months later found dead termites in home. Contacted them to come out and inspect, was told that they treated for one type of termite and not the one that were dead. Indicated I would have to pay more money in addition to the $2400 that was already paid to service for this type of termite. I will not pay them anything as the initial contract indicates they treated for the infestation at that time. Hiwever 7 months later I have a problem, I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The cost of service is ridiculous and they have yet to actually rid me of the carpenter ants in my home. Then they have the audacity to be rude to me when I call and complain, as if I am not paying them over $100 a month to perform this service. I am so disappointed. If I could do zero Stars I would. I paid $450 for the termite protection. Once that's in you can't get a call back from the office. The salesperson gives you a bogus number which goes from person to person no one ever calls you back. Read all their scam reports don't do it read more

My sister called me frantic, saying that upon a recent service call the Terminex service technician said that she was infested with rats, and that it was going to cost her thousands and thousands of dollars to remediate a two year old manufactured home. When I arrived, following his report around and under this gorgeous, immaculate new home I was at a severe loss to find any damage, entry point, or evidence of any pests of any kind, whatsoever. I recommended a second professional opinion. After a one hour thorough inspection, he concluded there was NO damage, NO Rats, NO bugs, NO Termites, NO pests, there was NO entry point and there was NO evidence of anything that Terminex says they discovered. He apologized and admitted that he would gladly take our money but in all honesty could not take advantage of her. Needless to say, we will spread the word in our community regarding this experience. Both she and I will be calling this Second Opinion Tech for our future home protection. read more

I have used Terminix in the past and thought they were good, but this last time was more than terrible service. First of all out of the five or more visits to my home, not one time did they show up when expected or on time. I am a senior and feel cheated because I was sold some services that I think was not needed. They were in a hurry to receive my money but not to provide the services I needed. I felt pressured to make the sale, but feel taken advanage of. Would never recommend them, especially to seniors. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I paid for the termite bond and an exclusion for rodents. My credit card was over charged by $300. I have been tirelessly trying to recover that amount. I have since learned that Terminix is not a reputable business. It seems this is a company wide problem. They do not care about their customers. I would highly recommend anyone considering doing business with Terminix to consider a more reputable pest control business. read more

Just an update on the attempted fraud of an elderly person ( my mother) January 2015 my normal Florida pest control guy came out . He is a soft spoken older gentleman that seems to genuinely care that you get good service. Well I told him about the experience with Jeremiah . And told him about the attempted fraud this scummy kid was trying to pull on my kind trusting mother who does not have any money to waste at ALL! I told him about the attic inspection and the discovery of chewing and droppings that was the "scare ammunition" he was using against my mothers trusting spirit. My pest guy got up in the attic spent three times the amount of time up there than the Terminex "used car salesman' did. He came back reporting everything was sealed and mentioned that the "evidence" presented by the terminex guy was ancient at least 4 years old and if there were any rats they are long gone. He then took a pair of binoculars and inspected the vents on the roof , reporting also that they are secure. He then places a baited rat traps in my attic no charge and i have caught nor seen one rat !!!!!! This made me even more furious at Terminex. Also the "RAT DROPPINGS the Terminex kid presented photos of are GONE! I wouldn't put it past them to have their salesmen PLANT evidence to make a sale! All in all I've never been more sickened by a companies practices and what they train their "salesmen" cough cough I mean INSPECTORS to do. They continue to robo call my moms phone from texas and Tn. trying to get her to renew her worthless policy. This company is a fraud and i hope to be part of a class action lawsuit against this pure thievery in the future. @terminex Oh on a side note were you aware that your salesman was trying to piggyback a sale of insulation by a non terminex company on to your potential sale ?? or maybe your are in on that too? I was very impressed with Glenn Randall at our service call last Thursday. He was prompt, answered my questions thoroughly, explained things clearly, and made a very careful inspection of all the areas where carpenter ants live. He is a genuinely nice person and made me feel like a valued customer. I could tell that he was very knowledgeable about his profession and how to solve pest problems, so I was very glad the he was our technician. Let me start by saying, I have had a Terminix bond since before 2006. About 8 months ago we renewed our bond and Terminix came out and did a very poor inspection. I pointed out that I had some type of swarm and the Terminix tech did not know what it was and he blew it off. Fast forward eight months and now I have major termite damage. I called Terminix and they told me someone would be out to look at it that day between 3 and 5 and no one showed up, I called again and a tech did show up the next day. Once the tech arrived, I showed him the damage and he acknowledged the termite damage, he explained that he would talk to his manager and get back to me. The following day I received a call from the tech and he told me Terminix would not stand behind the bond and repair my home. Although he was willing to do a free treatment. At that point I asked for the tech to have the manage give me a call, fast forward two days and no call from a manager yet. So my argument is; I have been paying for a bond all of these years to Terminix, and now I have termite damage on their watch, what good is a termite bond if they are not willing to stand behind their work?
