    The goods!

About a block away from our dinner restaurant and our hotel in Naples. The majority of the gelato places seemed to be privately owned mom and pop operations. This looked like a franchise gelato shop you'd find in the states. And indeed, Terra is run by a former business consultant using AI to create a state of the art high tech gelato operation. Their signs said all organic ingredients. The gelato was tasty and we had a good time communicating with our server with his limited English and our non existent Italian. Limited seating on the main floor, but several tables in the lift above the counter. Not just a tourist stop, they were doing a bustling business with the locals.

Delicious gelato! When in Italy, one must try gelato. Right? :) I was shocked at the fancy flavors of gelato. I don't know why I was so shocked. Gelato is common in Italy. I guess because in the states, the gelato is like one flavor and pretty bland tasting. Not at Terra Gelato! The flavors burst in your mouth! They are so good! And also very strong. So, make sure you pick a flavor you want a lot of. My husband picked peanut butter, and he said it was like eating a spoon full of peanut butter lolol My cheesecake flavor gelato tasted just like cheesecake. It was amazing! Service was good. They get you in and out quick! Pricing wasn't bad. Ambiance is casual, walk up and grab your gelato. There's some seating upstairs, and outside.

Amazing gelato and an amazing selection! Staff was super nice and recommended us flavors. I went with the Al Terra as it's an award winning flavor of theirs and paired it with stracciotella. My husband got pistachio and tiramisu in a cone. AMAZING choices. If you're not fluent in Italian, this place has translations for you to understand. Also the store is super clean and there's loads of seating options

Wonderful experience here, I get why they're one of the more highly recommended gelato shops in Milan! Walked in after dinner at close to 10pm on a weekday evening in April and there was a steady stream of customers over the course of 20 minutes I was there. The location on the corner is hard to miss, it's located a few blocks SE from the main train station in Milan, intersection of Via Vitruvio and Via Luigi Settembrini. Prob considered one of the more touristy areas since the whole area has a plethora of hotels. Inside the decor is thoughtful--I particularly loved the teal interior and mid-century mod credenza with floral display framing the window to the gelato-making kitchen area. The staff was friendly and explained how to order at the front counter and then choose flavors in the best English they could understanding that my Italian was non-existent, and allowed me to try two flavors. They carried a variety of traditional flavors as well as seasonal sorbettis, with dark chocolate and fruit sorbets being the vegan options. I tried the Amareno cherry/chocolate/vanilla and hazelnut, though ended up with their house specialty salted pistachio and a seasonal mango and chia seed sorbetti. The salted pistachio reminded me of the butter almost flavor that Breyers used to carry in the 80's/90's, but with pistachio and creamier. The mango sorbet was very fruit forward with a nice sweet/tart balance and a bit of crunch from the chia. The overall texture of the gelato was a bit less dense/more melty than I've had in some places, but I didn't mind as much since the flavors were good. After ordering I sat down at a the single bench inside to enjoy my chilled treat, there are a few benches outside the store as well as a small seating area on the second half-floor above the gelato service area. Would come by again if I was in Milan!

Una buona gelateria in zona stazione centrale, gran varietà di gusti e gelato cremoso e molto buono. Il mio top rimane Rivareno, ma Terra è un buon backup.

Exceptionally good gelato Don't let the location near the station fool you - this place is legit! The gelato is light, at the right temperature (basically a race between melt and consumption), smooth, and the flavors are top-notch (and not too sweet as so often happens!) They have the usual classic flavors, as well as a the usual "out of the ways" ones - taste them and make your choice

Had to make a quick gelato stop before our train ride, and this was a great choice of place. They have and extensive flavor choices but i settled for a good ol' stracciatella and pistachio. Texture was smooth, sweetness was just right, and serving size was great.

After sampling a few gelato places in Milan, this had to be one of my favorites. They had a number of interesting flavors and the prices were fairly reasonable. The black sesame with raspberry was definitely a standout, as the flavor was especially unique. I also sampled the almond, which had a really strong and delicious flavor. The shop also had a great seating area. Easily would recommend!

The hours here are convenient, a perfect place for some late-night gelato since they are open until midnight. The place is just a couple of blocks down from the main station too, so it's easy to get to as well. The store is quant with a warm interior aesthetic. Even though it was dark out people were still coming and going from the shop. The prices here are reasonable. A rule of thumb I have is to never pay more than 3 euros for gelato (when getting the smallest size). I got dark chocolate and it was both decent in size and very rich in flavor. Overall a good place to stop by and get gelato.

Love this local gelateria. Really yummy stracciatella and tiramisu. Served with a thin wafer. We also tried an Asian version with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and black sesame. Friendly waitstaff. Reasonable prices.

So good!! Clean, bright corner shop with an outdoor patio you can sit and enjoy your treat (if you…read morecan find a spot). Pay up front at the register then take your receipt to the counter where they will fulfill your gelato dreams. ;P Prices were good too (considering we paid a Euro more for a smaller "piccolo" cup on the Main Street around the corner) especially given the higher quality treat at this place. Our two scoop piccolo cups and cones cost us 4 Euros each and they are generous with the scoops. I got their specialty pistachio and coffee flavors and oh wow!!! My son got the lemon and watermelon and those were both really tasty too. Husband chose the Dubai chocolate and cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed those. We can't wait to come back again tomorrow and the next day!!

Vanilla Gelati Italiani is near the Duomo in Milan -- very convenient if you're wandering around…read morethe cathedral and need a cold reward. They make their gelato with quality ingredients and classic Italian technique, and they've got all the flavors you want, from pistachio and hazelnut to refreshing fruit and even vegan options. The shop itself is simple, with a few spots to sit outside if you snag (but outs table service) for easy people-watching in the heart of the city. It's great on a hot day after exploring the Duomo area. I'd recommend it as a quick sweet stop, great flavors, a friendly vibe, and to take a breather to cool off with something delicious.
