Interior Dining. There's also a second room with less lighting, setting a darker mood. Both rooms are welcoming and spacious.

Ambiance: spacious, open, and oddly intimate in an industrial way. Service: nothing extraordinary, but satisfactory. Odd that upon reserving a table ahead of time we were asked if we were celebrating anything (we were, our one-year), but then it wasn't acknowledged during greeting or throughout. I didn't want to be that person who said something, because there was no need to expect any acknowledgement and we were thoroughly enjoying our time being together. They had run out of the ribeye, but the manager overheard the server saying something and confirmed with us. Despite a longer wait, we were more than happy to take things slow as they did restore the availability. Had the manager not overheard, we would have had to move on to another choice. Food: highly recommend both choices highlighted in my review's pictures: Choriqueso Birria & the Ribeye and Mole. Meat for both dishes were beautifully prepared with distinct flavors and incredibly tender. The pairings of garnish were perfect - adding a pop here and there and some texture. Only wish that the bone marrow was inspected before serving (there was literally only one small spoonful of marrow, 95% bone). I thought the bone was a garnish. Both dishes were plenty food for two! We didn't plan on ordering drinks, as we were heading to Las Ramblas cocktail bar after, but because of the wait we decided to have a glass each. Very affordable glasses and bottles! (Which we didn't expect, compared to the menu). Such a cool concept, literally located on the border. Cheers!

I recommend setting up a reservation so you can get seating quickly. The restaurant was kind enough to call prior to our reservation to confirm which I thought was nice. Our appetizer was delicious but we did feel overly full. When we got our entrees, we enjoyed them with the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. Perfect place for date night!

I arrived here during their lunch service with the coffee bar open. It was a more casual vibe compared to their dinner service but it still had a cozy and classy atmosphere. I love the natural lighting and the big windows (coincidentally the Charro day celebrations were going on outside so we got a glimpse of a bunch of people part of the parade!). We weren't too hungry so we shared the Aguachile Verde Appetizer. There were plenty of delicious ahi tuna chunks and avocado pieces - much bigger plate than I expected! It was refreshing and hit the spot after walking around in the heat. The cortado was great as well, the little foam art was a cute gesture :)

What a gem! The ambiance, food, drinks, service.... Top notch. The service was great.... I never would have known it was his first time waiting tables. Kudos to him. He made great recommendations from the steak to the dessert. The bone marrow.... I could've just eaten that and called it a night. I did not finish the steak or the dessert but I did clean house on the marrow. It was divine. Like, do a little dance after each bite, divine. The NY strip was delicious, perfectly cooked medium rare. The potatoes were perfect. Let's talk about the Day of the Dead dessert.... And the house made ice cream. Get both. It's a lot of food but it's worth it. I don't even eat gluten. Or dairy. It's worth it. Espresso was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. I cannot wait for another trip to Brownsville just to have another meal here.

Service and drinks were GREAT! Food was warm and flatbread was too spicy. Paloma's were excellent.

What a wonderful find in Brownsville! Elevated Mexican food right adjacent to the border. The decor screams urban upscale. The ambiance quiet and Sophisticated with a hint of casual. Lighting is subdued but not dark giving a sense of privacy in a wide open dining room. The food is stellar. The pork belly tacos served on homemade blue corn tortillas, curried potatoes swimming in a tasty curry and charred roasted carrots striped with a pungent cream. This made me want to come back and dig deeper into their menu. The cocktails are exceptional too. The Charlie Brown was delicious!

Great food. Two "apps" more than enough food for one person. The food could have been warmer in temp but flavors spectacular. Mexican Indian fusion dishes.

Firsts time at this establishment since they reopened. Upon entering an employee greeted us and took our temperature. Hand sanitizer was Available when I entered. I ordered 2 drinkswhile I was there. I did not ordered food. But the selection on the food menu was minimal. The drink was well blended. Service was okay. Plus not a lot of people at location for a Thursday! I did not like the choice of music that was played At the establishment. For me,It was to mellow. Restroom lacked bath tissue. Appeared dirty as well.

Terras Urbana is a very nice date spot for a weekend night. The Sangre Azteca drink was very delicious and the touch of spice with the jalapeño makes it perfect. If you love mezcal you will love this drink. My table of four shared the Oaxacan Fries and the Costillas de Elote. They were both delicious but my favorite were by far the elotes which were perfectly seasoned! Then I had the Chipotle Alfredo which had huge pieces of very tasty chicken and the chipotle alfredo was the perfect spicy flavorful sauce for the dish. The pasta was just right! My mom had the Outside Skirt tacos and while she loved the tortilla she said her meat wasn't seasoned. My friend also got the same dish and said the same. My nephew got the double smash burger and he enjoyed it! We ended the night with the Mom's OG Pan de Elote and while I wanted to love it the consensus at the table was that it was a tad on the sweet side. The ice cream with it was delicious! The service was perfect! Our waitress was knowledgeable and very attentive. Overall a nice place in downtown Brownsville. Check it out when you have a chance!

A Hidden Gem of Authentic Mexican Flavor and Elevated Hospitality…read more If you're searching for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further than this incredible spot. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm that set the tone for an exceptional evening. Let's talk about the food: the grilled octopus was nothing short of perfection--expertly charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with fresh, vibrant microgreens. Every bite was a masterclass in balance and flavor, showcasing the kind of culinary skill that can only come from recipes passed down through generations. The authentic Mexican flavors here are deeply rooted in tradition, yet elevated with a modern touch. It's clear the chef-owner has honed their craft under Michelin-starred mentors. That level of expertise comes through in every dish--from the nuanced seasoning to the thoughtful plating. And then there's the drink: La Paloma de Mi Corazón--hands down one of the most refreshing, clean-tasting cocktails I've ever had. Bartender Benito is a true artist behind the bar, blending flavors with precision and passion. He absolutely rocked that drink! The customer service was exceptional throughout. Attentive without being overbearing, every staff member made us feel genuinely cared for. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the front and back of house operate in perfect harmony. Whether you're a local foodie or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Authentic, elevated, and unforgettable. Can't wait to come back.
