Since OrthoIndy was aware that Terre Haute had a very respectable orthopedic rehab clinic I decided to stay local rather than to use the therapist close to the OrthoIndy hospital. It was a great move as the care, attention and education I received from Ashim Bakshi and his staff could not have been better. Following their instructions and regimen to the letter my recovery remains such that my mobility is near to that of my God-given shoulder. You can't beat that! Bottom line is that when it comes to rehabilitation, you get out of it what you put into it. Choose your mentors carefully just as we have; we have returned to Ashim Bakshi and his staff to help my wife's recovery from a broken neck (C2) incurred in a recent auto accident. Aug. 29th, 2016…read more **Unprofessional and rude behavior. ** I am giving one star for one woman who does a pilates class here and claims to be a physical therapist. I never even got into the class actually, because she " forgot" to tell me I needed an orientation before I attended and after I arrived at the class, on time actually. She knew I was coming - had been told 3 weeks in advance and then again 3 days in advance. She had my phone number. This instructor arrived at 8:45 for the 8:30 class - I had been warned about this by a friend. I told her I had a total hip replacement 6 months prior but had received an okay from my surgeon to do pilates. She promptly showed me certain movements I could NOT do. Strangely these were the EXACT exercises I began immediately after surgery and continued to do for 3 months 3 times a day. When I mentioned that to her she responded: "I am physiotherapist, you know?" Whatever. I was glad I didn't get into her class after that. Now apparently her husband is doing it while she is busy elsewhere. I sure hope she is learning the basics about exercises for total hip replacement because she knows nothing. Buyer beware.

My Doctor wrote an order for physical therapy. After four days I went to them to see if they…read morereceived the order. The receptionist found my order and showed it to me. I asked how long before they would schedule me. She said they were really busy, no apology. I looked at the therapy tables and three therapists were sitting talking and only one patient working with another therapist. I told her to call me when they had time. Eight days later and they still have not called. I stopped in this afternoon and a young man came to the front desk. I told him that no one had called me. A therapist started talking to me and said they probably didn't have my order. I told him that she showed it to me and they might as well cancel the order as I would have my Doctor write it for someone else. He said "Have a good day" and turned back to his patient. The young man said he would cancel my order. I asked him if he would like to know my name because no one had asked me. This site is not a place that I will recommend to anyone. No apologies, no professionalism and rude.

The doctor gave her various exercises to do throughout the course of treatment. She continued to improve and is still pain free today thanks to Dr. Leighton's help. The staff and Dr. Leighton were always very friendly when we were there for appointments. They got to know each of our family members and called us all by name. They asked how we were doing and would always take time to chit chat. That made our experience more personal. We were more that just another patient. I would recommend JMC Therapy to anyone needing physical therapy. They have a wonderful staff and an experienced doctor.
