So this is my first review on Yelp and it isn't a good one…read more I ordered a simple, plain meal from here and to be fair it was ready in about 5 minutes, so a plus for the spead. However this is where it went downhill. After arriving home I was found that 2 of the items were cold with only the chips warm, which got me thinking that this order had been sitting for someone else and was just passed to us when it was not collected. After a phone call we were told to re-package and return it so they could CHECK IT!! REALLY!! Upon returning it was taken from me and after 2 or 3 minutes I was told a new one was being prepared. NO APOLOGY OR OFFER OF REFUND OR PARTIAL REFUND WAS EVER MADE, DISGRACEFUL. Upon returning home the food was once again dished out. It was just bland and greasy and after a few mouthfuls we ended up just throwing it out. Never again will I return here, poor food, terrible service and just bad customer service.

The music is all hand picked at head office to be trendy and nice in the background. The sweet chilli chicken is yummy. I'm not a burger man, or even a fast-food man, but I'm not a snob. Mcdonalds have improved the feel of being in a Mcdonalds. The food is the same as everyone knows it is. You can walk into any one and know what you're getting.

All in all it's fairly decent portions a fairly decent price.

Standard chip shop/indian take away and delivery service…read more food quality I have tried many things from the freddies menu and found the standard to be very good, the pizzas, burgers, curries and pakoras have all impressed me. the menu is very varied and the have something to suit everyone. the price is good as you generally get quite alot for your money. Favorites for me are the south indian garlic chilli, chicken tikka and the munchie boxes are great value. Delivery service They loose points on this as delivery often takes a very long time. I have waited 2 hours on a weekend for my food to arrive. on a week day it tends to vary between 40 min and a hour so order early! Take away service Again they lack a bit here, I often find my self waiting for quite along time for food to be prepared. the only things they seem to have pre made are from the chip shop side of the business so if you want something else its worth phoning your order in first. Customer service I often find take aways lack in the customer service area and unfortunately Freddies is no different. The counter staff often don't seem to know what it is you are asking for and on several occasions I have had to get the menu and point the dish out that I want. You often get the feeling that you are disturbing the staff by wanting to be served as they are often deep in conversation with another staff member. Atmosphere For a take away its okay. The location is unfortunately next to a convenience store and bus stop so there is often groups of youths hanging around outside harassing people walking by. this does tend to put me off going down on friday/saturday nights but is not really a fault of freddies. They could use some seating, they have a tiled window ledge at the moment where everyone sits to wait and it is far from comfortable and as the waiting times are often long this would be a good addition to the building. Overall Freddies is a good take away and if they cut down delivery/waiting times it could be excellent.

Placed a large order here recently for a buffet for a birthday party (pizzas, pakora, chicken wings…read moreetc). It arrived very slightly later than requested but happy to excuse that due to how much we'd ordered. I was very happy with the service in the shop both when I called in to check prices and place the order. The final cost was reasonable and the quality of the food was good. The delivery driver was also very helpful. We had plenty to go round and were complimented on the standard of the buffet. Would definitely recommend them.

I had been to the Mother India in Glasgow and I can say the food and service in these branches is exceptional. The restaurant is very relaxed, while maintaining a very high standard in everything they do. As I said the vegetable dumplings kofta was fantastic, dumplings of cottage cheese and veg was a concept that I could never have dreamt up before never mind tasted. It was delicious in curry form, tastes I can't quite describe. To go with this I had vegetable rice, which again was done to perfection, enriched with various vegetables. I was stuffed. The portions were a great size and even thought I was unfamiliar with a few of the dishes the staff were happy to explain and offer their recommendations. An overall great place to go and have a memorable evening.

A name like "food club" might suggest an elitist, members only organisation, but sadly Freddies is just another grotty kebab / curry / pizza shop, which due to being the only one in the area was always busy despite the food being fairly revolting across the board. They don't even do burgers or chips, though they do have pineapple pakora, which sounds interesting if not particularly nice. If you're in this neck of the woods, try to avoid, but then again if you do end up in this part of town, you'll likely have more to worry about than your next takeaway.

Sigh. I'm getting close to reviewing all the Maccas in Glasgow... now there's an achievement I…read moredon't actually want to reach. I was super hungry post-hospital visit, and headed here. It's 24 hours and has a drive thru which is excellent as I'm always worried of seeing someone I know if I actually have to get out of the car. Service was quick, friendly - the typical Maccas script, really. I got a double cheeseburger and some moz dippers (hey, I know how to eat my feelings) and munched away in the car park. It's not the best Maccas I've ever, or the worst. It filled me up and left me with that feeling of shame that only Maccas can deliver. And for only £5 too. Bargain.
