As long as I've ventured out onto this branch of vulnerability, I may as well also admit that I wondered if such a store existed, just what did they sell? Given that the very premise of "Henry's Take" is rooted deeply within the field of investigative journalism (), our team committed to getting to the bottom of these conundrums. After extensive research (and a covert undercover detail) our team concluded that the Piggly Wiggly does, in fact exist, and that it is a grocery store. The code has been deciphered and the mystery solved! While visiting a typical grocery store has absolutely no appeal for me whatsoever, I found myself exploring every isle in search of items that might distinguish this establishment from a typical grocery store. The items I found most intriguing included: *A gigantic can of boiled peanuts (which purports to be "the South's favorite snack"). *An expansive grits section. *Fresh smoked pig tails. *An expansive corn meal section. *Fresh ham skins (country cured, of course). *An expansive home air filter section. *Fresh smoked neck bones. *Multiple fat back options. *Fresh sliced jowl. While I likely lack the knowledge to properly appreciate many of these items, I was once again impressed and warmed by the Southern hospitality that I have routinely been enjoying in this great state of Georgia! I mean, it's a Wal-Mart... what is one to expect?…read more To be honest this is normally at least a four star experience for me, even being a Wal-Mart, but that being said I used to live nearby and almost always went in the wee hours of the morning (think between 3 and 5am) where the store was spotless and I would be one of the only other customers in there... I recently had the "pleasure" of popping in during normal hours and it was more along the lines of a two star experience so I see why so many are against this particular machine. Above being said, on a good day this particular store is in decent order and has pretty much everything you could need in a pinch... it's easily my favourite of the Wal-Mart branches between Phenix City and the neighbouring city of Columbus... this particular Wal-Mart definitely earns it's Super Centre title at least with a barber, nail salon, full grocery store, and everything in-between. The local Target, in Columbus, seems to have dropped a bit in recent years so while having nicer home stuff this Wal-Mart still reigns supreme in the one stop shop category and it seems that Wal-Mart is at least trying to catch-up in the style game that Target has so readily dominated in the category for housewares. It's almost a no brainer to come here if you're in Phenix City, but truth be told this Wal-Mart has it's ups and downs, but is certainly fare from the worst places you can go... just try and avoid crowded periods and you just might make it out sane!

I sat in line for an hour after my order was delayed for three hours and with only two cars leaving during that time and the line was all the way out the parking lot. To top it off I didn't even see a worker walk out the door for 15-20 minutes. I finally had to go inside to pick up my order. They need to do something different with this store. But both Walmart in Phenix City I will not be going to anymore. They are useless. I am taking my business to Winn-Dixie or Publix.
