Real Olive Company also has a presence at markets all over Ireland, and I've often seen their stall at the Temple Bar market on Saturdays. Their olives are delicious, and they're always willing to give you a sample before you make you're choice.

There are a few stalls selling things like candies/honey/jams, that were reasonably priced, so we bought a few of those to bring home as souvenirs. We spent probably about half an hour walking around and made it through the entire market. It was fun to walk around and see all the local goods/products, but don't expect a lot of options for good food if you're hungry.

If they don't have the cut you want, e.g. rib roast on the bone, they'll get it for you given a little notice. The shop is absolutely spotless and the staff are forever cleaning! The staff are so friendly and knowlegeable and eager to help. Crowleys have won numerous awards for their meat. At Christmas as you collect your turkey & ham, they have drinks and chococlates for their customers and also selection boxes for the kids - a very nice touch.

They have a deli area with a great selection of tapas, ready cooked dinners made fresh, and a sandwich bar. The selection here also is much better and seems to have many of the higher end items you normally would only find at specialty shops or M&S. The only thing which bothers me about this place is the fact that for some reason around lunch and dinner time it is completely filled with elderly shoppers who for whatever reason congregate at those times and the queues come to a standstill. If you avoid those two times you will find the queues are not bad and the selection is brilliant.

I was needing an urgent product for my baby. I am so disappointed that the man at the door would not even have the decency to open the door slightly to talk to me and see what i needed. I was very lucky that Tesco was open until 11pm and i got sorted there.

The store is very well stocked where you'll find what might be considered hard to find ingredients. This is a 'tester' store for the Supervalu group so you'll find new products piloted here on a regular basis. The shop is spotlessly clean and you'd need a coat venturing down the frozen food aisles! The staff are alway friendly and eager to please. They also operate a home delivery service.

Ballincollig is their first shop and I called to see their set-up recently. Here there are two sections, an inviting delicatessen and a very impressive and well laid out butcher shop. Wasn't on a meat buying mission on this occasion but did pick up one of their fresh soups (mushroom) from the deli. It was an excellent soup, very tasty indeed.
