Another tesco store I hear, anything new, well nothing really they are more or else the same they stock up the same goods as most telco metro shops. I only come in if l really have to, one good thing is they have a cash machine here but l think most of them do now. read more

This is a Tesco Metro so not the biggest store but I was only going in for the basics which was fine. They stock the daily essentials from bread, milk, some fruite, cereal and biscuits etc. The store has good opening times and access into the store is by automatic doors making it both wheelchair and puschair friendly. The staff were helpful and I did not have to queue for very long. They accept the clubcard so you can get points which can be saved up and exchanged either to pay for your shopping or spent on clubcard deals. read more

Before you get excited and go looking for Tesco, I should point out that this really is just a slightly overgrown convenience store. However that said, it's a very useful asset to the town and provides a little competition to what would otherwise be a monopoly for the Co-op. I'd say that this store is fine if you're just looking for everyday groceries, and has enough to do even a weekly shop if you don't want anything too sophisticated, but it's not the place to go if you expect to fill a trolley with exotic foods. The checkout area is fairly cramped and seems to be geared up to basket shoppers rather than large trollies (like the rest of the shop, really), but staff are generally fairly cheerful (perhaps they get extra Clubcard points) and the store is bright and clean. Main disadvantage is that although the location is very central, you are likely to struggle to park outside so if you buy a months supply of cat food, you'll have to lug it some distance back to the car! read more

This store is pretty bad. The aisles are very narrow so it's difficult enough to move around and it's made even harder when the staff are stacking shelves and they leave the cages around. Some of the staff are pretty miserable and unfriendly and give you nasty looks when you ask them something (but some are nice too). read more
