For a small store this one is pretty good. Good fresh bread.

I've been going to this butcher for several years now because it's the best meat around. I've…read moretried several grocery stores and some specialty shops and I still go back to Kesgrave Butchers. Great bacon, eggs, sirloin, filet, pork, chicken! And, they will get other meats in to order like duck, goose, rabbit. Their pies are delicious too - especially the pork pies. Strong cheddar is also yummy. I don't know why anyone would want to get their meat anywhere else.

The store itself is well-stocked and the fruit and veg in particular are fresh and well kept a sign of good stock management! Bravo! The clothing department isn't quite as good as the Copdock interchange store, but it's worth a look. I must say though, that the customer service staff here always look fed up. I've noticed it each time I've been in (about 50, so there's no denying it) and it might be because there's a gale blowing through the mains doors they're opposite. Still, no-one comes here for the conversation. Clean, fairly bright - no nonsense shopping.

The staff are just going through the motions, not bothered about customers, just waiting for their shift to end so they can go home. The cafe food is appalling, and there is no atmosphere at all , or nice aromas to make your taste buds work. Tables are always sticky. Never see any management on duty. All in all the food shopping is frustrating due to the stock, which gets moved around faster than a sneeze! Every time I want something, the section has been moved. Very frustrating. Instead of the quick payments self service tills, they need a self service screen which you can use yourself and enter the product, which will tell you if it is in stock, how much it is and which aisle it can be found on. Save a lot of walking about. Finally, a smile costs nothing, and the staff especially on the tills, could practice it more often. We spend millions at this store, and we want a better service. This place has gone down hill Big Time in the last 3 years!

The building was made for the purpose so aisles are wide and easy to negotiate, even for wheelchairs. The range here is well worth a look - especially if you usually shop at Aldi. There are some very cheap 'high end' foods - such as in the fish freezer or in the deli part of the fridge. Staff are usually helpful, though always rushed. As is usual at these shops, they tend to throw your goods at you - so do be on your toes.

It's a clean store too with a fair mix of food and household items. There's a small bakery section with lovely bread. A smaller salad bar and hot meats unit. I rather like it, as the selection is wide enough to tide you over and prevents a trip to the ridiculously cramped car park of Warren Heath Sainsbury's. All in all, if I don't need anything too fancy it's a great quick stop shop!
