If you are heading east in a Tesla with a standard range battery, you're going to have to make a stop here even for a quick charge just to get you over to Kingman. There are only 4 charging stalls at this location. 1 stall is shared with general handicap parking. It's located right next to the Shell gas station that sells very expensive gasoline, but they also sell decently priced snacks and drinks. There's both a Dairy Queen and a Subway inside this Shell station, so you don't have to go very far to buy a meal, a snack, or a treat while you wait for the car to finish charging. This is also a truck stop, so sometimes those big rigs will get in the way of you pulling in and out of those charging stalls.

Stopped here on my way to Laughlin, NV. Got there around 10pm to find all 4 charging stalls open and accessible. Definitely made our last driving stretch a breeze. *my Tesla map said that the charging station was closed for some reason? But decided to stop and check anyway as it's the only supercharger on the way (unless you go through Baker). *Phew* what a relief

Given the amount of traffic through this area, more than four charging stations are needed. Food -There are two restaurants here other than a Subway and DQ; The Giggling Cactus and Wagon Wheel. WiFi -There appears to be free WiFi, haven't tried it.

Had to make a stop on way from Grand Canyon to Palm Springs for mobile phone connection (HW40 is spotty for mobile connectivity). Only 4 chargers that I can see right next to a Mobil and Subways including a large truck stop and railway. No complaints here as the speed started at 240 m/h with convenience of drinks snacks and sandwiches.

Smoking fast!! We were the only ones here

Area is a little sketchy, so I wouldn't recommend wandering too far when the sun goes down. There's a lot of semi trucks and people hanging around so I can see on busy days it may be a bit of a pain to get in out of a spot . The gas station store was nice, refilled on snacks and got a blizzard from Dairy Queen. The workers were really nice , too.

Two charging stations. Then there's two more next to these. Sketchy area but chargers seem to work OK and there's a camera

Sketchy looking area we were coming west on the highway and it gave me some crazy directions leading into a super bad area. Then it corrected itself after we were already down in some kind of a torn up old subdivision. Beware these chargers are by a Dairy Queen and a mobile gas station also a Carl's Jr.'s not that bad of a location and looks like they have a new camera installed

Charging after 8pm is the best.

Cons: Only 4 spots. Slow when all four are taken. Pros: Next to Dairy Queen in a safe and big lot. Super fast charging after 8pm when no one else is around.

I went to the Tesla Supercharger in Needles, CA on 2/3/2017. It was my 1st time there. Nice location just off the main highway. Had no problem charging my red Tesla, just wish they had more bays at this location. Right next to the Dairy Queen. Plus, I took a photo.

Great place to stop next to I-10 and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. Our go to place to get recharged when traveling!

This one has 12 stalls with a max of 250 kW. It's located on the eastern end of the Wagon Wheel. After plugging in my car for a full charge, I went inside the restaurant to grab some breakfast. I can only hope that the Superchargers will attract enough business for the management to invest in some landscaping improvements. It's challenging to make a living in the desert. Currently it's a depressing landscape of freeway, dumpsters and gravelly pavement. The view from the Superchargers is of an auto repair shop and neatly stacked orange and white highway barriers (?) in front of an empty lot filled with weeds. The wooden fence was nicely built, if not too short. There is nothing for children to play on or dogs to be walked on. The Wagon Wheel, a Hwy 66 nostalgia-themed restaurant had working A/C and clean restrooms. It has good reviews on Google so it probably has good food and drinks. You could also check the Yelp reviews. It's hard to celebrate the history of passing through the desert in the years prior to A/C, which might explain why the decor had an aged appearance with peeling paint on a mural that wasn't very appealing.
