Thinking I had not heard her clearly I repeated ~ asking about a sale is JUST RUDE, and she responded Yes, it's JUST RUDE. I placed the item back and left. I've already purchased the exact item a few dollars cheaper in a more customer friendly environment. This was an unfortunate experience in an otherwise customer friendly town.

The price of the clothes was high, but the quality is worth it and to be expected because it is on a boardwalk other stores on the boardwalk are at the same pricing as well or even higher. They expressed they have no return or exchange policy so they wanted to make sure I got the right size and everything they let me try on anything I needed to in the dressing room. I took my daughter and grandkids today, as we are walking around, I heard the lady telling the…read moreyoung employee, "keep an I on them, they are walking around and I feel they are going to steal ". Instead of saying what I should it said, I asked my family to walk out if the store and I explain them. Dear owner, we were not the typical family that you see every day, as we are not white, we are Hispanic and my husband and son in law are white. But I wanted to let you know that we work hard for everything we have, including a nice vacation. Our grandkids worked doing shores and saved enough to get what they want on top of the spending money we give them for their vacations. We teach them value and respect. I could have stayed and confronted the lady, instead I walked away and by doing it, we were the biggest people and I tough them a lesson of respecting themselves and not allowing nobody to disrespect them and mistreat them because of their race. One thing for sure, every time we come back to town, I would never spend a penny on your store. I hope you learn a lesson with this and remember not to be racist. By the way, I am very proud of who I am and where I am coming from, Puerto Rico. I have served this country as well. I read the owner review, two points, at the time of our visit; there were only 2 clients, other than us. We stopped in during THE PANDEMIC on a quiet weekday. I immediately fell in love with some of the framed photography, but like many others, during these difficult times, I'm on a budget, so that was a hard no to spending $150 on art right now. Luckily, when we wandered upstairs, we found less expensive prints of the images so we could frame it ourselves. SOLD. Staff were friendly. And bonus, even through my mask, it smelled so lovely inside.

This place was amazing!…read more Donna, upon hearing I was looking for my first real Lilly (I do have a second hand maxi dress from her earlier days!), made it her mission to make sure I didn't leave empty handed! She pulled everything in my size for me to try on. (Donna normally works at their main store Tuesdays and Thursdays I believe) I found a few pieces I liked and was able to score them during their first ever off-season sale (1 Piece-50%, 2 pieces-60%, and 3 or more 70% off!) Note: this is not a discount store but they ran a sale this weekend to make room for this summers collection! Ted, the owner of the store, rang me out and was extremely cordial and personable. I had an amazing experience here and I would highly recommend visiting if you are a Lilly lover in the area! (They have a bigger store about 10 minutes away if you want the newest and biggest selection) Donna even took my picture with the Lilly Jeep out front to commemorate my first official Lilly purchase!
