I found this to be true in requesting appointments with Dr. Cordero as well. Luckily, I can go elsewhere and not limited by my insurance. Both doctors were okay, but seem to be overwhelmed.

Duly knows this and in fact charges me the in network fee at the time of the appointment which I promptly pay. Recently, Blue Cross has started saying that my doctors are out of network. They say that it is because Duly has provided incorrect information and needs to correct it. Duly's response to me is that they have done nothing wrong. File a complaint with the insurance company. I have probably spent 10 hours of my waning life on this. It almost seems like somebody made a big bonus slashing the back office expenses for the next hedge fund sale. I guess that trying hard to return Ill gotten insurance proceeds would also have a deleterious impact on net operating income for that next hedge fund sale. I am writing this for 3 reasons: 1. I would actually like some help with this from the company for a change. 2. If there is something systematic in this, there may be many other old codgers who have been paying too much (as I did before I noticed what was going on) because they thought Duly was the same old Dupage Medical Group who they had come to trust. 3. Next hedge fund: Look very closely at how much you'll have to spend to rebuild the decimated back office or refund improper billings. Further, if anyone else is experiencing this in network/out of network phenomenon with Duly, one of the Duly miscues that Blue Cross mentioned to me is that they had a mismatching Federal Tax ID for my doctor. The ID on the billing did not match the Federal Tax ID which Duly had given to Blue Cross. If they don't match, I'm told that Blue Cross considers it out of network. This "might" be an honest mistake with a merger. Saying it is the patient's problem is unconscionable.

They left my legs dangling from the bed and did not offer to prop them up. They were monitoring my heart, which I didn't need. One nurse in particular, Michelle, said I couldn't get up to use the rest room. She placed my medical equipment behind me, so that I couldn't get up. She was a real snot and not professional at all. Finally, I had to pull at the equipment myself just so that I could go to the bathroom. Then, the worse part is that the doctor misdiagnosed my condition ... said I had the start of blood clots and they needed to keep me their for a few days. I had enough, so I checked myself out of the hospital. Next day I went to the E.R. at Central DuPage Hospital. HUGE difference in how I was treated. I had warm blankets, a great bed, and was attended to very well. Found out I did not have the onset of blood clots. I am home now and doing very well, thanks to CDH!

Ridiculous to pay a hefty charge for a question that the doctor probably took a minute to answer. Didn't receive any notification that this change was taking effect or never would have sent a question. EDIT: I did a Google search and found this: "While most MyChart messages will remain free, replies that require medical expertise and more than five minutes of your provider's time may be billed, as we do for other medical services. If a MyChart message is billable, we will first bill your insurance provider, as we do for all other medical services."

Doctor office doesn't even know if she/he accepts a specific insurance plan. Unlike other medical systems who list the names of accepted insurance policies, Duly only lists categories under each insurance company, and patients/representatives/even the doctor's office itself have to guess if an insurance policy is accepted. Insurance company wants me to double check with the doctor's office, supposedly there should be two way communication that each side can confirm. How ridiculous! Manage your organization better!!!! I've heard that their billing department is horrible too - not surprised
