Important deadlines were missed, resulting in delayed filings that extended the eviction process over a year and caused approximately $15,000 in lost rent per month. Her advice did not adequately address Section 8/HUD requirements, which led to tenants' counterclaims and additional compliance hurdles and extra legal costs with the housing authority. Overall, the representation fell far short of what I expected from a real estate attorney handling landlord-tenant matters. I spent significant time and money with little progress, and ultimately had to seek new counsel to resolve the issue.
