Great selection of beers. Great service and atmosphere. The place was absolutely beautiful, one of the best views I've ever seen at a brewery.

Plan on trying this one .

Dropped in during bike ride to further dehydrate myself. Momentary refresh. Exactly what was needed.

The selection of beers is absolutely amazing. I don't even drink beer but I was so tempted by both his descriptions and the passion in which they were all explained, that I ordered the flight to share. My wife and I enjoyed the Poutine for a late Lunch, and added the sausage! it was excellent! Portions were very good too! Well worth the trip from Southern Ontario!

We took advantage of that and ate outside near the street and the water. Although our waitress was bilingual, she was a bit uncomfortable with us. She did relate better to the much younger couple who spoke English near us. We both ordered an IPA and began to decipher the French menu. Note that the food here is pub food, not a full lunch. My wife ordered the smoked mussels and French bread, and I ordered the smoked herring and French bread. Both came fairly rapidly. The French bread was warm and the mussels and herring were served in a Quebec style marinade infused with spices. We both thought they were excellent. The bread was also excellent. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

We can't say enough good things about First Mile Brewing…read more We arrived Friday evening after driving several hours because visiting First Mile was our daughter's one request for her vacation. Unfortunately, the power had gone out, the doors were locked, and Travis and Jodi were heading home. When they learned how far we'd traveled and why we had come, they asked if we had cash, turned around, reopened the brewery just for us, and served us anyway. That simple act of kindness transformed what could have been a huge disappointment into the highlight of our day. The beer was outstanding, but what we'll remember most is the genuine hospitality and generosity we experienced. Travis and Jodi, thank you for going above and beyond for complete strangers. You made our daughter's vacation wish come true, and you gave our family a memory we'll never forget. If you're anywhere near Fort Kent, do yourself a favor and stop at First Mile Brewing. You'll find great beer--but even better people.

This was a must visit for my wife and I during our Maine route 1 trip. The taproom is more rustic with tables and a bar with a couple seats. Due to needing to head back early we only sampled their cream ale and Mexican lager, both were pretty solid. Definitely seems to be a spot for locals as their place to grab a drink after work. Bartender was friendly. Overall a solid brewery worth checking out if in the area just didn't have anything that set it apart and made it that memorable.

The beers change regularly, so they have the current ones on a chalk board rather than printed in the menu. The beers were very good. The young woman serving our table provided good service, although she spoke French so rapidly it was hard for us to follow. We are native English speakers. Both of us ordered the Caesar salad and I ordered the grilled chicken extra for around $5 more. We ended up splitting the chicken. Our food arrived around 15 minutes later and there was a lot of it. The grilled chicken addition had excellent flavor. If they offer a grilled chicken main dish, we would strongly recommend that. The salad was fresh and had a lot of things in it, especially capers. I love capers and ate a number from my wife's salad. On the negative side, the salad did not have much of the Caesar dressing. Overall, we enjoyed the dinner here. The restaurant was lively, the service was great, and the food and drink were good. We may return here for another meal.

The service was great, our server was patient with us wanting to speak French. We drank white wine, Picpoul and Cider. The food, however fell below expectation. Caesar salad was made with wilted dry lettuce not crisp romaine. A generic sauce and generic croutons and parmasen atop. It was inedible. 6 Chicken wings were OK but the tiniest of wings ever. The Tao sauce was generic. Deep fried cornichons were not tiny cornichons but large pickles. These were OK. The French Onion soups was inedible for me but Pablo liked it. It was thick and tasted like it had come out of a catering can. All in all I think the term is "getting away with it" but the crowds seemed to like it.
