I broke a part on a machine and came in to the shop at 3:30 PM on a Monday. Shop door was open,…read moremusic playing but nobody was home. After calling "hello!" for a few minutes, a man came downstairs and kept telling me that they open at 6. I told him that I don't know what that means but he said it another 2 or 3 times. I'm not sure if that meant he was just tired because they opened at 6 AM or if they open at 6pm, but in any event I said I had a part to get welded and he asked me with a confused look on his face if I already dropped the part off, I told him no, I needed a part welded, so I googled welders near me and ABC welding service came up, which would explain why I am holding a broken part that needs to be welded in my hand. After another awkward pause, i determined he was confused and I told him I think I'm in the wrong place because I needed to get a part welded and he agreed with me and then we went our separate ways.

We had great difficulty with customer service re: Boston Iron Group. FYI, it wasn't mentioned…read moreduring our initial estimate, but it's standard for them to complete painting touch up on site when they deliver your railing. I questioned the workers doing this as it was about to rain, but they assured me that it would be fine. We had a downpour within one hour of them painting and sure enough, the paint job suffered. I had to contact Aylton, the owner, repeatedly for 6 weeks before the painting was finally touched up. There were many weather days when painting was not an option, but the company didn't try to fulfill their promise of correcting things in a timely manner or without my constant reminding. I recommend looking elsewhere for your railing needs.
