She said it was leaning and not falling down. I told Tana there was not any cement in the holes. Tana told me that was not true or the process would not have worked. I requested, on numerous occasions, for them to come back to my house and repair what they didn't do correctly the first time (and to verify there was no cement). After months of contacting Tana, we had to have another company come out and pull the fence upright, dig around the poles, put in cement, and stabilize until it dried. This was my experience with Dependable Fencing and will not use them again and I do not recommend them to others. It is unfortunate.

In April, I hired Dependable Fencing to replace my elderly mother's fence and paid the required deposit. They were scheduled to begin in early June. During the week of June 20, their crew removed her existing fence, then informed my mom that it would be another 2-3 weeks before they could install the new one. My mother and stepfather are both in their 70s, their backyard opens to an alley, and they have two dogs that require a secure fenced yard. I called Tana to ask when the project would be completed. I wasn't interested in excuses about the delay--I simply wanted a realistic completion date. I was told the job would be finished the following Wednesday, which, while inconvenient, seemed manageable. A few hours later, I received another call saying they would not be completing the project because they didn't like that my mother and I were "already complaining before the job started." The problem with that statement is that the job had already started--they had removed the existing fence and left my mother's property unsecured. They pointed to a small temporary enclosure they built for the dogs, but it was essentially a tiny box on concrete and was not an adequate replacement for a fenced yard. As of this review, Dependable Fencing has not completed the work they contracted to do, and my deposit has not been returned. My elderly mother has been left without a fence because the company chose to walk away after removing the old one. Not only that, while taking her dogs out, my mom tripped over a line that they had placed to mark the yard and landed on her shoulder. Luckily, she was ok but the security risk my mother is facing because of Dependable Fencing is unacceptable. Every project can encounter delays, and I understand that. What I cannot understand is removing someone's fence before you're prepared to replace it, then refusing to finish the job because the customer had a complaint and asked for a timeline. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I want everyone to know the horrible position they left my mom in- literally with no fence- instead of finishing the job they started. In closing, they have a quote on their website that says, "We treat every install -- residential or commercial -- like it's going up in our own yard." Really, Tana? Would you have left your mother's yard in the same shape that you left mine? What about your child's? I don't think so.

And we paid him in full. Then he added tons of big ugly rocks and boulders in the flower beds that we never asked for or wanted. Now he is sending us an additional bill for $32,000 for the rocks on top of the $6,000!! We have asked him to come pick up the rocks but he refuses and says he can't get a refund for them. Very shady and illegal! Then there is a whole different issue regarding a loan he had us take out for $75,000 to remodel our swimming pool. He told the finance company the work has been completed. But the work hasn't even been started. The finance company has already given him the money and is now sending us monthly bills. But he wasn't supposed to get the money until after the work was finished which we were told could take a year! We have asked to have a meeting with the concrete guy and the swimming pool guy that he found for us, but now he's ignoring us and not returning our calls or texts.
