He was able to answer all of our questions and was available via text and facebook messenger when we weren't together. His communication skills and energy are refreshing traits you don't see often, and I greatly appreciated his willingness to be available at all times as our schedules are all over the place. I was shocked we put an offer on our home a matter of hours after visiting it. By the next morning, we had negotiated a final offer with the sellers. A week or two later, the appraisal came in a few grand below the negotiated price. Joey was able to secure the price at the appraisal value, saving us tons of money on the mortgage. And when I took possession of the property, the stove was not functioning. this was not disclosed and Jim, only upon repeated requests, did he passively reach out to seller. Most reputable agents I've talked to said they would have replaced the stove as a curtesy. Reputable being the key word. Jim did not do so. Jim was clearly not looking out for my best interest. Remax DFW realtor Vicki Crow did not perform a background check on a rental tenant that was…read morespecifically authorized by the tenant on a rental application provided by the realtor that the landlord relied upon. By not performing the background check that was authorized by the tenant, I incurred thousands of dollars in damages and legal fees from a tenant that had several family violence arrests and recent evictions on their record, as well as no longer being employed. None of this was disclosed on their application. Beware signing any rental listing agreement with Remax DFW that doesn't explicitly require the realtor to perform a tenant background check as described in the rent application also provided by Remax DFW and realtors. Remax DFW Mark Wolfe president responded that performing any verification of information on the rental application is a courtesy, but not required unless specifically stated in the listing agreement. Remax DFW president Mark Wolfe states that their agents merely list the properties but are not responsible for checking the applicants background despite being authorized to do so on their rental application.

When my husband and I were married we both had our own homes. We ended up living in mine and renting his out. That was our first experience using Kellie and she was amazing! She gave solid, honest advice and made the whole experience as smooth as possible. After our daughter was born and we were considering doing some upgrades to my house, we called on Kellie to take us around to some houses that were on the market just to get some ideas. In the end, we moved into the house we fell in love with and we walked away from my first home feeling as if we'd made the right decision. Oh, but it doesn't end there! After moving into our new home and being here for a few months we had obviously forgotten how miserable selling my house was (lack of sleep and the fumes from painting probably) and we decided to sell my husbands house now that the lease was up for the renters. She is also a fantastic photographer and she took some amazing photos of the house, had it listed and sold within a few weeks. Her guidance from our first experience was so thorough and we were so well informed and educated by her, that this go around was a billion times easier than the first. She is awesome! (In case you didn't realize that yet.) Wait, wait, wait! There is more! We are now in the process of selling my husbands childhood home in Illinois after his parents passing. While she is not involved in that sale, we have called upon her many times to go over contract wording and whatnot since we are a 1000 miles away in Texas. If she didn't know the answer to our questions or wanted to verify something against the different real estate laws for Illinois, she would research it and get back to us.
