There were clogs in several areas from leaves that had blown into the pool and the motor was not running efficiently to move water. Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

The part cost $50 on Amazon AND it took me less than two minutes to replace it! Filter must be cleaned -- $150 -- The pressure gauge wasn't even reading 15 PSI. I cleaned it myself but it didn't need it. Your auto chlorinator is not dissolving the tabs. It needs an evaluation. They want to charge additional fees to see if there is something wrong with it! Chlorine levels are high. WTFF? They say they vacuum every time they come out. Their vacuum is battery operated with a netted BAG! Same thing as the Polaris - it picks up leaves but sprays the dust up into the water for the filter to pick up and leaves your water cloudy (they should be using a hose that connects to the filter).

I sent requests for bids to 5 companies on Yelp and 4 of them kind of blew me off... ya know... send us pictures, send us your personal info... blah blah without any commitments to come out and look. Zack was straight forward and said when he could be out to take a look with a free estimate (sat morning). He was running a little late when he came out but was courteous and notified me ahead of time that he'd be a little late... so no big deal. He was very reasonable with his pricing (I had already looked up the pricing for parts before he got there) and was very happy he didn't try to up sell me or pad his labor costs. I said: great, when can you come out? Expecting him to say in a week or two (like the other pool companies usually do). Nope. He said: Monday afternoon. I was thrilled with the quick timeframe. He showed up on Monday and got to work. He got the light replaced first (which was no easy task... the ledge on that side of the pool is raised several feet higher which makes it difficult to access the light without getting in the water). Not only did he replace the bulb but also the housing and cable that ran under the cement to the light switch. Then he took out the 30 year old heater (that sucker weighed over 100lbs easy) and it's 100 degrees out today... also not an easy task. He fixed the pipes and then started working on the motor. He got that installed and the thing is sooo much quieter than the old one. As we were looking at the pump we noticed some water leaking from one of the connections into the pump. So he says that he can fix that (mind you, it almost 6pm... I'm sure he wanted to go home and get out of the heat, but he took the extra step to give exceptional service). He went to his truck found a new seal and fixes the connection. Didn't even charge extra for it. Really, really happy with his performance! World class service! Will definitely use again!

Watching the pump, filter and everything working perfectly for at least 5 minutes I went in the house because the tech had not brought the vac. to do the pool. 1/2 hour later I realized he was still here and went out to see what was going on. . Within seconds the Jandy valve burst spewing water. He had one in the truck. When the Jandy was replaced all of a sudden the pump was leaking. When the pump was fixed 2 days later all of a sudden the heater was also leaking. Everything had been purring like a kitten and now everything had a leak, even the pressure valve on top of the filter. I have nothing else to say.

After purchasing my home right as the summer months were upon us, there were no other companies with availability. They're unprofessional and will attempt to scam you out of your money as they attempted to charge me a starting price of $1700 to open up my pool (eventually paid another company that charged me less than $300) as they stated the pool needed a full drain with acid wash. Then they claimed that filter cleans were $135 per clean and that mine likely needed at least 3, when the company that opened my pool included it in their price. The tech also used my pool tools rather than the company's, and then the secretary/manager (TJ) took the tech's side (without any discussion) after I complained about the pool not being vacuumed (not once all summer), walls being partially brushed, water left running from the hose into the pool all night without my knowledge, and the pool overall not being cleaned properly. They didn't even bother to have a ledger stating what pool services were completed or chemical levels until after I complained. Stay away from these crooks ... You've been warned.

He had someone out within the hour.
