Very disappointed. Used them a few years ago - quick and reliable fix. Have tried to book them twice since and ghosted both times. We most recently tried to have them out before winter storm Elliott. Scheduled for a Wednesday, received a text a few days later that they double-booked and rescheduled for the next day. Received a confirmation text (this was about 5 days out). I texted and called a few days before just to confirm because of the weather - no call back. I called 3 times the day of our appointment and nothing - straight to voicemail. I have yet to receive any confirmation or apology. read more

We noticed a leak in our pool and believed it was around the skimmer. We were referred to Texas Premier Leak Detection by our pool guy and could not be more pleased with the referral or the results. Culley responded to our call promptly and came out the very next day to assess the situation and do a pressure test. Within an hour of arriving, Culley and his assistant were able to find the leak and make the repair all at a very reasonable cost. They kept us apprised during the process, explaining every step in detail. Culley was prompt, knowledgeable, efficient and most importantly, honest. I'm going try to be unbiased with my review for this company. Its strictly based on my experience with them and the quality of the work that I received. First of lets start with the what they did well and what they did not. Did well: 1. Service guys were polite and arrived early. 2. The company was responsive to my calls. 3. The work performed was unsatisfactory and the company did not charge for the service. 4. Shane was helpful and nice. Not did well: Now I have quite a few things I need to say here. Two guys, relatively young, arrived as scheduled. They got in and quickly got to work, including diving down to test the main drain and doing the pressure test and tie dye test on all the lines. They told me and showed me that the skimmer line did not hold pressure and is leaking. I expected them to then perform the sonar test to pinpoint where the leak is. However, they told us that they had a break-in incident a few days ago and the hearing equipment was stolen, therefore not available to use on the day of. Ok, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But honestly, if you don't have enough equipment to do your test, you should reschedule. It was a bit unprofessional. I dont recall them do the pressure test on the return lines. They said everything is fine except the skimmer. Ok, after that, they told me they will come back in the next few days to pinpoint the leak. I asked if it is possible for them to find the leak then I have an option to hire someone else or to repair it myself. They said no. They won't tell me where the leak is if I dont hire them. The other guy heard our conversation and clarified that they will find the leak as part of the leak detection service and I can fix it myself. It was confusing and frustrating to receive conflicting info. Another thing was that our valve was leaking because the tech did not put it back correctly, causing the pump to take forever to prime. They tightened the valve and left but it was still leaking and they had to come back to fix it. As a professional, they are expected leave everything as when they come in. Sadly, it didn't happen. They sent the guy named Shane in the next few days. Shane seemed to be more knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. He did the test and found out that the skimmer was holding pressure pretty well and probably leaking very very little. The two guys told me that it was leaking, and another guy came in and said it was not? Very confusing and frustrating. Shane was nice enough to patch up some of the cracks with epoxy putty. The whole experience was not good and the worst part is talking to Culley, supposedly he is the owner. Culley seemed annoyed and talked to me in a somewhat rude tone when I called him. I said I pay $350 and I expected the company to be able to find me where the leak is and Culley immediately cut me off and said no I have not paid while they had to come out twice already. Let me clarify this, they had to come twice because they did not have the equipment on the first day. He sounded like it was my fault they had to come back and I haven't paid him. I am not going to pay when all you can tell me is that it is PROBABLY leaking under the skimmer. I could have guessed that and don't have to pay you to tell me that. Very rude. In the end they couldn't pinpoint where the leak is and not charge me for the service. Why did I give them 2 stars? The whole experience was worth 2 stars, Culley attitude deserves -1 star, and I would give extra 1 star for Shane's service. The verdict, I definitely would not recommend or hire this company again. For $350 I expected a better service and a better result. And for me Premier Leak detection fell short in many ways. read more

Culley, the owner, is very responsive to my calls and services. He is the best pool repair man that I have ever come across. He is extremely knowledgeable about pools in all aspects and he is very hands-on. My whole pool equipment was almost completely damaged due to the snow storm in Feb in Texas and he helped me to get the new equipment in a short time and have them installed professionally. Hired to fix a bad leak, after paying in full, then filling pool I realized not only did he not repair the leak, he allowed plaster to solidify in the main drain. when he could not fix it he revealed the Coward he is and didn't return, been ghosting me since. They were very professional, and you could see they enjoyed their job. They were able to locate two discrepancies that I had. The first problem, which was a cracked underground pipe, required extensive repair. The other was out of their realm of the initial service call. They informed me they would be able to fix the second problem, fortunately the second repair was relatively easy and that I could repair it myself, saving me $150 for a service that actually took me 2 minutes to fix. Some companies would have taken advantage of the situation and charged me for the second repair. This company may not be the cheapest, but they are very detailed and honest. I strongly recommend them if you have a leak in your pool. read more

After the big 2021 freeze, these workers have been super busy with broken pools. That said, they took the time to come check my pool and found the issue in a quick manner (with very cool sciency stuff). They were timely, courteous, clean and affordable. They found a very difficult leak in my "weeping wall". They had to come out twice but had to take out some tiles in order to find it.

Cully and Colt, once again did a great job. I was losing a small amount of water every day. Cully and Colt found a pinprick size hole on the bottom of my pool in about 20 minutes. Patched it and even prettied up a patch I did myself on the seating bench. Second time I've had them out and second time I was super pleased with the work. Highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about Texas Premier Leak Detection. I requested a quote to find and repair a leak in our pool on a Saturday afternoon just before Christmas. Culley, the owner, responded to the request within 25 minutes and offered to do the inspection on 12/31 (the second business day after my request). Culley and Colt arrived promptly at 8:30am and began testing the plumbing system. After about an hour and a half, utilizing both traditional pressure testing and a modern leak location detection device, Culley drew a small red X on the concrete surrounding the pool and told me they found a leak in one of the return lines. Culley offered to repair the issue on the spot (very fair and reasonable prices) and after another 2 hours or so, the repair was completed, all return lines held pressure and only a 10" x 10" hole reamined above where the leak had been located. Before leaving, Cully filled in the hole, replaced the concreted, and cleaned the surrounding area (nothing but a little concrete dust made it into the pool). In the beginning, I thought this issue would cost 10x the actual amount and would be much more invasive. I was very impressed with Culley's ability to precisely locate the issue and his surgical precision used to repair the issue. Highly recommend and will continue to call Culley for future pool repairs. read more
