In April 2024 an orthopedic surgeon Dr. Todd Siff performed an unsuccessful elbow procedure for my tennis elbow on the left arm and since the surgery my elbow became much worse and looked very deformed. I went to Dr. Jafarnia for a second opinion. He saw the latest MRI in MyChart and told me my tennis elbow was not fixed. I scheduled a second surgery with Dr. Jafarnia in November 2024. Dr. Long is an awesome and caring doctor. I went to him for a second opinion, and was glad when he actually affirmed the first doctor's findings. The real win is that Dr. Long left nothing to chance; he took the time and invested his total attention to my pain/problem. He recommended conservative but helpful measures, and we have additional options should there be a need. He did what my other doctor somewhat fell short on doing: making me feel heard. Dr. Shatby is an extraordinary surgeon, completely informed, extremely capable, and incredibly caring. His staff is competent, efficient, and attentive, which is a very rare find these days. Note: I always record my sessions with the doctor in case I forget something from the wealth of information he typically divulges. Be prepared for your appointment. I had a typed and formatted paper of my diagnoses, medications, allergies, and physicians ready to hand to him. I recorded our appointment, which he did not mind in the least. Most importantly, any questions I had were typed and ready to hand to him, and I had phrased the questions as specifically as possible. He gladly answered every one of them in detail. His demeanor is matter-of-fact and to the point while still exuding sympathy and awareness of the impact of a troubling diagnosis.
