****. UPDATE. *****…read more I've never forgotten this horrific medical gaslighting. When I wasn't improving my Doctor ordered more testing. I showed I have POLYMYOSITIS and significant scoliosis. Polymyositis is a a very, very painful condition. My CPK then was 1880 it's still running in the 800 range and the least it was is 780 in 10 years. This doctor made ASSUMPTIONS - and was out to bleed insurance companies. I will never forget being told I would not be prescribed pain medication but they were scheduling me for surgery with NO X-Rays, No MRI AND NO CT SCAN which is also I found out from a REAL DOCTOR, that immediately treated me for my conditions, ordered new tests and adequate pain medicine working WITH my doctor. I did find I'm am severely allergic to CT scan and came back from the light after he ordered one to get a clearer look. The other doctor was scheduling me for surgery in two days- NO TESTS

I have found Dr. Bell and his staff to be professional, caring and helpful. Dr. Bell is a liked and respected doctor, loved by both his patients and his staff. He spends as much time with each patient as they require to feel at ease. I have never had to wait more than a day to get an appointment and have only had a long wait in the waiting room if an emergency came in. I have had carpal tunnel surgery, care after a couple of falls with fractured ribs and and injured neck.

I cannot recommend Dr. Edward Baumgartner or this pain management practice…read more Before I was even allowed to schedule an appointment, this office required me to obtain and send medical records from my primary care physician and previous pain management provider, which would be fine if they reviewed them, which they did not, as evidenced by my treatment and lack there of. That process delayed my care for weeks. During my initial appointment, Dr. Baumgartner told me that I was using illicit drugs. He also discussed my previous pain management records in a manner that, in my view, suggested he believed I was diverting or selling my prescribed pain medication because prior urine drug screens from another doctor, did not detect the medication I had been prescribed. I attempted to explain my medical history, which includes strong malabsorption issues, to the degree that I regularly need infusions for proper absorpion of nutrients that should be absorbed and distributed by food intake alone. When I tried to explain this, I was not given the opportunity for a meaningful discussion before these conclusions were communicated. All of which was reflected numerous times in my medical records, which is one of the reasons why I conclude no one bothered to actually read the records. I provided a urine specimen during my visit, to clear up the conclusion that I was using ilicit drugs and asked that it be ran while I waited. The results were never reviewed with me. Dr. Baumgardner knew I was scheduled for major lumbar fusion surgery within two days. Despite that, my follow-up appointment was scheduled six weeks later. After surgery, when I contacted the office because I was experiencing severe postoperative pain, I did not receive the level of care or urgency I expected from a pain management practice. My pain was belittled instead. The office repeatedly prescribed medications that were not covered by my insurance, with quoted costs ranging from hundreds of dollars to over $1,000. I was later prescribed an NSAID despite my documented medical history, which includes gastric bypass surgery and gastrointestinal conditions for which I have been instructed not to take NSAIDs ever again in life. This is how I've concluded that my medical records were not adequately reviewed after the office insisted on obtaining them before scheduling my appointment. My interactions with the office manager, Jenny/Julie, were equally disappointing. My concerns regarding severe postoperative pain were handled in a dismissive manner, and I experienced no compassion or urgency from the office. Pain management patients seek care because they are already suffering. They deserve careful review of their medical history, respectful communication, and treatment based on the individual patient rather than assumptions. That was not my experience. For those reasons, I will not return to this practice and cannot recommend Dr. Baumgartner or his office to anyone seeking compassionate and competent pain management.

I called to book an appointment. Lisa answered the phone, said they wouldn't have any appointments till the end of July. I said "hold on let me tell you my symptoms", told her my symptoms and that "I also had spoke to the doctor on call the night before and she said to call first thing in the morning to get in". Lisa did not care. In a chipper condescending tone, she replied well if you can't wait for an appointment then go to the emergency room or find another doctor. This was said & done with out speaking to the doctors in the office. It's sad when staff run a business like this.

Reps are poorly trained, they aren't personable, no one smiles or seems concerned with your inconvenience. -Late Appts: my appointment has NEVER started on time. Ever. This practice wants large, fast turn-overs now. I have a shoulder with a "mechanical" injury in addition to the arthritis in the shoulder. I pulled these muscles and the result is extremely painful. X-rays were ordered. Fine. Good medical practice. When Dr. Warnock came in he would not listen to what had happened, assumed it was arthritis and ordered physical therapy for arthritic shoulders and that was it. He missed the entire problem. I will never go back. He can rush others through this factory now. I am 8 weeks out and still in tremendous pain. He has made me worried I may come across another physician who simply wants more patients through the mill.
