I've been a patient of Dr. Owens for a few years, and I have been nothing but satisfied with her attention to detail, personal skills, and staff. Anyone who works here has always greeted me upon entering the building, and there's always a smile on their face. They go above and beyond to ensure your eye needs are met. The office is even open on Saturday for those with busy schedules. As far as eyewear goes, the frame selections and options are endless. Pros.... OD assistant (forgot her name)and Optician(Kelsey) are very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr Byrne is professional and gave me a precise refractory examination. In fact her prescription has given me the best progressive lens performance. I highly recommend her. The variety and quality of eyeglasses are stylish. Cons... I had visual field studies as well as an optic nerve examination. It might be the standard of practice that there is another charge for review of the findings via insurance company rules, but I was paying out of pocket for these tests and I hoped to have review of the results without another charge. TSO Kingwood location is awesome and treat their customers like rock stars! The lovely staff up front and Dr phong Pham are amazing. I had an Excellent experience having an eye examination. several test are done that I have never experienced, For one which was a 3D test I have never taken and a shaded pattern book where you had to trace color patterns for color blindness I also have never taken which I thought it was cool. I was fascinated by the modern day testing. Dr Pham is very knowledgeable and will answer any question you might have, he explains your issues and checks for any cancers or damaged nerves that you may or may not have in the eye. Jason the lab tech. is awesome and consults with you on what kind of frames may fit best for you and will show you many options that are on hand in store and if they dont have the style frame you want in a smaller or bigger size they can order it for it. frames can get pricey along with add ons to the lens and jason was knowledeable on explaining everything that was needed for me plus the add on i wanted. appointments are recommended as always but you can walk in as i did, they took me right away and i was i seen by Dr Pham within 20mins. excellent experience overall. read more

Ive been wearing glasses for 20 years and this has been the best experience Ive ever had. The front desk staff was so kind while I was trying to wrangle my teen and husband for their first eye exams with back to back appts. The female optician was honestly the best! She was so kind and took time to chat and explain things. The girl that helped my husband and I find his first pair of glasses was seriously the best. Again, so kind and helpful! Horrible experience at this location. I have been bringing both of kids here for years, today was horrible, from the second I walked in the door. The staff here seem to hate their jobs or something, the Optometrist I think her name last name started with a B, Brese or something like that, she's a younger younger white female, was rude, condescending, not friendly at all, hated every minute of seeing my son. She was laughing at my son that has dyslexia for reading words backwards on the chart, she has no place dealing with patients. If you asked her a question, she acted I was bothering her. She rushed every minute of the exam, and then she scams you and tells you, that insurance doesn't cover a "special " picture of your eyes and you could have major eye issues, and she can only the open the pictures for $60 that is not covered by insurance. What a scam, second the person that fits your glasses, was worse, her name was Patty, she was a older white female, that reeked of cigarette smoke. Horrible attitude, not helpful at, rude and had the worse raspy voice, she hated her job. I ended up not even purchasing glasses, just from how bad her attitude was. I will never come back to this location, past employees were great, but this new staff is a nightmare. The girl that did my son's eye exam was fine. read more

I went here because of the name and they have been around forever. Everyone was very nice at first. They told me I would get my glasses in 7-10 business days. Well on the 10th business day I called them and my daughter went to get them for me. Well I could not see with them. I bought them back and they tried to say keep them and try them on in the morning. I did, same blur. Well the "manager" Patty or Peggy, forgot her name made me feel like it was my fault that I couldn't see out of the glasses. Well they sent them off again. Same problem 10 days later again. Well Michael who is also the "manager" tried to have me do it again so we did another eye test and same results. Well they were rude and mad when I told them I was done. They wanted to charge me for the eye exam which wasn't even right. Well Michael decided if I would remove the 1 star I gave them that he would give me a full refund. I did not and will not remove this post or 1 star because it was terrible. Stay away. I also saw another lady while I was I. There having the same problem as I was. So heads up DO NOT GO to this location. They try and talk you into your glasses very manipulative. I've had many eye exams before but never have I had such a thorough exam like the one here at TSO Kingwood. Dr. Pham now sees my whole family for all their eye care needs, even all the way from Austin! He has up to date trendy frames brand names and much more. Awesome customer service! First found this place when I developed ulcers on my eye (yes, wtf? didn't even know that was possible) on Memorial Day weekend. I was frantic trying to find an office that was open and could see me on an emergency basis, as it was pretty bad. I called here, and they saw me right away. Dr. Pham was great! He listened to all my concerns and reassured me. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and thoroughly examined me. He prescribed a series of medications and had me followup with him in 3 days. The medication began to work right away to my relief. In all I had to see Dr. Pham 3 times to make sure my eye was healing. The last visit which was brief, he did not charge me a co-pay for, which I really appreciated. Because my experience was so good here, I decided to come back and get my glasses done here. I got an eye exam with Dr. Pham and then selected lenses. All the employees are professional and friendly and the office is extremely nice. My glasses arrived promptly, and when I tried them on, I decided I no longer liked the frames. I asked if I could purchase frames somewhere else and have my lenses redone, and they obliged. Not only did the reorder the lenses for me to fit my new frames, but also took off the transition lenses and blue tint off my new lenses because I did not like them. NEVER again will I set foot in this store & I will tell all I know not to! While the personnel are extremely nice here, it's awful. Let me tell you my account: Ordered glasses. Once in, I went to pick them up. The young lady was fitting them for me & broke them. I left empty handed. Wait more & am called in again. Picking them up...a couple weeks later the eye piece falls off. I call & they happily tell me they will repair. Bringing them in, a young lady badly scratches a lens. No problem...they will replace. Weeks later I am called to come in & have lens replaced with new one. Arriving, I am told equipment is not working so they can't follow thru. I was asked to leave my glasses & they'd be finished the next day. A week later I call asking about them. Turns out that I was mistakenly called....my lens was never in. The manager talks to me. Apologies. Tells me he will personally call me when my glasses are ready. Another week goes by. I call to find out my glasses are ready. No call from management as promised. I go get them that afternoon. The next day I get a text message AND an email telling me to come get my glasses. Keep in mind...EVERY visit I made equaled taking time off from work. I saw Dr. Katy Owens in this office for my first set of contacts. I'm not sure how long she has been at this location, but she receives very high ratings on "rate my doctor" websites. She and this staff are clearly a notch above others. She was very thorough, showed me everything she was seeing on their state-of-the-art equipment and explained it all. She and the entire staff are very personable. Dr. Pham has created an office environment to rival any in the medical field. Perfect Professionalism! I got my prescription from a different TSO doctor, but have now moved closer to this location. I spent forever trying to find frames that I liked all over town. Here at this location I walked in just to look since it's near my new house and I will now forever be their customer! This offices goes above & beyond to be professional yet personable! I didn't like any frames there (not their fault) but when I did buy some elsewhere they got my lenses put in without a problem. My lenses look great and I'm so impressed by their customer service that I will come here from now on for all my vision needs along with my husband. If you're looking to get a new eye exam or new glasses, come here! First off, the prices are inexpensive compared to other Optical places I've attended (such as Pearl Vision). The customer service is amazing. I would pay anything as long as customer service was through the roof. Thankfully here I got both a great price and great customer service. I always hate having to go through the whole process but this time I had so much fun picking out glasses and didn't mind speaking to my doctor. I highly recommend you give this place a chance. Dr Pham and his staff were amazing. I have never had any eye exam that was this thorough. I have definitely found my optometrist!! Dr. Pham took the time to ask many question, and he seemed like he genuinely cared. I did not feel rushed or as if I was just another patient. I had so many different test done with equipment that I had never been tested with. His office was so nice and everything including the equipment was brand spanking new. After the doctor finished all his testing, his staff took their time to help me find the perfect pair of glasses. They also explained all my options for contacts. I ended up getting both and even went back for a pair of sunglasses. He had so many designer brand name frames to choose from. I have never had this type of experience with any other eye doctor. The staff was without a doubt the absolute best staff I have ever encountered. Erika was excellent while making my appointment over the phone. Once there, Erika, Nicole, Samantha and Shelby were very professional, very welcoming and made my visit comfortable and calming. They are all very nice and helpful.
