We added a wine cellar under our stairs which now is a prime spot where we hangout with our frds and relatives. At first, it seemed almost impossible to imagine a beautiful wine cellar with storage built in given the how complicated it was to get access to our under the stairs area. But TRS made it possible. So was the case with our accent wall - It seemed it was going to be hard to get a very well executed accent wall for a space with high ceilings but the results were phenomenal. It has been wonderful working with the whole team from start to finish. The design time, on-boarding team, executing team and the final commencement team - everyone worked so well together. We always felt we were taken care of and the whole tea, listened to all our feedback so patiently and executed on it flawlessly. They has set up a great process where they take client input and set expectations with their designs so we can ensure that we are on the same page, at all times. There are no unpleasant surprises when it comes to execution as well as pricing. Im so glad we discovered TRS - I highly recommend this for your next remodel. We would love to work with TRS again for our next remodel (master bedroom).

Customer service at Armstrong, the stain we used, suggested reapplying and wiping off after 24 hours (Dane's wiped off the same day, hence the problem). The owner came out to evaluate, but seemed reluctant to do the other coat because at the time, we'd both thought it looked good with just one (but I'm no expert and didn't know it needed to sit so long). Said he'd call Armstrong himself. That was in July. Never heard back. It's now October. Wasted $1,000.

On October 20th I called back and accepted their quote and asked them if they had insurance and if they could send me a copy of their insurance and they said no problem. It is now November 22nd, I have not heard back from them since. My guess is they didn't want to send me a copy of there insurance, which, as a homeowner, contracting a handyman is a serious problem. I've been hiring contractors at my actual business for decades and I've never seen such incompetence. It seems as if this business has no sense of urgency and clearly doesn't seem to put the customer first.

Top rated was VIP Garage Door Services. Gave them a call on a whim. JD asked me to send him some pics of the damage. He came out within 30 minutes. Assessed the damage and was able to fix it right after the assessment. He went above and beyond - answered my questions about the second garage door (not the door being repaired), gave great advice on insulation for the doors, he also lubricated the wheels on the damaged door. Never rushed me or the job. Very professional, very friendly/easy to talk to, knows his stuff, and can't beat the price! Highly recommend.

They did a lot of significant legwork with our insurance company throughout the process. I am really pleased with how they went to bat with insurance and pressed them to cover the maximum repairs possible, including bringing the repair items on our older home up to this year's code. Since I have never made a claim on my homeowner's policy before, I am very happy with how helpful Ryan and the team were with getting insurance to cover what our policy states it should for these repairs. Several of our neighbors also had Quality work on their roof and/or siding after this storm, and everyone has been pleased with the work. Ryan is very knowledgeable and was helpful throughout the process. If you also have a complex exterior roof/siding repair that you'll be making a claim for, I highly recommend them.

I give Quality Exteriors a 5 for the new roof, but give them a (generous) 2 for follow through…read more Pros - The roof looks good. - The roof cost me out of pocket exactly what they said it would cost. - They threw in pressure washing and staining my fence. Cons - Work started a day later than scheduled. I was informed that morning that the crew had not been scheduled and not all building materials had been delivered. - I was told the crew would cover the outside AC condenser with mesh, prior to beginning work, to prevent debris from falling inside. Their "A Team" crew (as I was told) had been stripping the roof for 2 hours before the "onsight" project manager arrived. It was he who covered the condenser after I asked him to verify it had been done. - I was told that the roofing crew would move the large pieces of patio furniture out of the way of falling roof debris. Instead, they left the furniture where it was, within range of the debris, and laid their tarps right up to the furniture. I had to push the furniture out of the way myself to prevent damage. - It took almost two weeks after the roof was replaced, and multiple messages from me, before they came back to complete the punch list items such as painting the flashing to match the roof (as was originally promised) and activating the solar powered roof vent. - The roof decking was replaced resulting in gaps along the eaves and the need to caulk the gaps and repaint the exterior of the house. On multiple occasions (more than once via text, phone, and in person), I requested a quote to address fixing these items at my own expense in order to restore the appearance of my house. I was led to believe this estimate would be forthcoming. I was never told they could not or would not do this work. Yet in the six months since, there had been no follow up communication whatsoever. Ironically, at one point I did get a text asking me to call my insurance company and "demand" that they respond to inquiries for QE. My final thoughts on the experience, a company is only as good as its word.
