Yes we had two of our dogs there about a week ago and they did not get fed properly. For some reason they couldn't give them their treats so and they were supposed to be free fed but I came home with just about the same amount of food. And when we finally got our dogs home all they could do was just eat and drink like they didn't get enough while they were in their care for five days. We had use them for several years and all the care was wonderful except for now I don't know what was going on or what changed but our dogs will never go back in their care nor will they go back to the grooming. On the grooming they had asked me on our multi poo if it was the same cat because he had been going there and I had said yes and when he came home he no longer had a little ball of hair on the tip of his tail they had cut it all off. They had asked me if it was the same cat as last time and I said yes I would think that they would look at their notes or whatever they used to go by and it was there and then this last time when we took him yeah they didn't do it right. My husband and I were very upset about the care that our dogs received in those five days. read more

I recently moved to Cleburne from Washington and have a 13 y/o Std Schnauzer and an almost 2 y/o Std Schnauzer.... finding a top quality boarding kennel is one of those "must haves" for this family. I was impressed with Texas Tails from the first phone call to reserve a spot for my 2 pooches. They took detailed notes on each dog at check in (since the needs of a 13 y/o and a 2 y/o are vastly different), and how to dispense meds. I got a call the same night, letting me know that they were settling in and seemed to adjust to the fun quickly. My 13 y/o had a quick groom/clean up and looks lovely and she knows it! This girl is very picky about who she likes and who she wants to socialize with so when I picked her up and she was saying good-bye to all the staff....that sealed the deal for this family....We will definitely be back! PS ... even the 2 y/o came home quiet and ready for a nap ---- UNHEARD OF usually.....and their bedding and toys came home clean!! WOOFS all around read more

This place is perfect! The staff are wonderful and take great care of your pet. There are new pet accessories every time i go, which is bad because i just want to buy them all. Lol. I took my 2 dogs to get pedicures and manicures and it took maybe 10 minutes. The kennels are nice and clean. And so is the place in general. There are no weeds ( that i can tell) and the lawn is mowed. It is a little outside of cleburne but well worth the drive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!! read more

Texas Tails is amazing. My husband and I travel frequently for work and it gives us piece of mind to leave Pippa here. We drive 45 minutes from Fort Worth but it is totally worth it. Pippa is always nervous around people she doesn't know (tail between legs and hiding behind me), however after just 2 visits Pippa made Texas Tails her second home. They do a great job grooming my dog. I love that they have space for her to run around and she isn't cooped up in a cage all day.

Me and my husband took our 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to get groomed on Friday and we were just so impressed with the service and the cleanliness and the care that they received. All 3 of our babies were so happy to be there and had fun playing. Knowing that they were happy and well taken care of was very comforting for us. We had a very similar experience to the Robert had. We have been "house bound" for a couple of years because we have 5 dogs (rescue/found) and lost our house sitter. I visited the facility prior to our drop off and found it to be clean and the staff very knowledgeable. All the dogs seemed really at home. Our first time we only boarded the dogs 1 night. We had some special requests, one being to put 2 of the dogs together for the night. When we arrived Saturday to pick them up there were different staff than I'd met on the 2 previous occasions. They were just as professional, knowledgeable and caring as everyone else I had met. The dogs were glad to see us but weren't ready to go and went back to playing and interacting with the staff. We were briefed on how everything went and they detected one of the dogs was a little anxious the previous night and wanted to be with one of the other dogs. They put the 2 together and everyone had a good night. The staff even showed us several pictures on their cell phones that took of the dogs as they played and interacted with the staff. I recently returned to have a cat groomed (turned out great) and found the dogs being boarded to be extremely happy and at home. All in all, it is nice to know you have a place to board your animals and know that they care as much about each of them as you do. We'll be sending the "boys" to "camp" again later this year for about 5 days. It will be so nice to travel worry free knowing the dogs will be having a great time and will hardly miss us. As a practical matter the fees are very reasonable! Terrific service. read more

My review is mixed. As far as the facility, owners, and general feel, Texas Tails is great. I have always been impressed with the owners' willingness to please and wouldn't hesitate to board my dog there. HOWEVER, the groomer is a different story. I dropped my dog off at 10am and was told she would be ready around 1-2. At 3, I called to ask about her. The groomer had overbooked (and therefore was way behind) and said I couldn't get my dog until 5:30. Since we were leaving town, he said he would bump my dog up. Upon getting my dog home, I noticed she had several nicks from being shaved too closely and one of her nails was cut too short and gushed blood. It was a nightmare. It was as though the groomer hastily cut and trimmed her as quickly as he could to get her out the door. Not acceptable. I must say, the manager (owner, maybe?) was very apologetic and gave me a discounted price. Like I said, management = great. Groomer = terrible. read more

We have been boarding our dogs here for nearly three years. In fact, even after moving, we drive over an hour each way anytime we need to board them, just to keep our dogs with Texas Tails. Like many pet owners, our dogs are like our children. Needing to board them is probably harder on us than it is on them! However, we are so fortunate to have found Texas Tails. They are WONDERFUL. They treat our dogs like their own, and can tell us things about our dogs that you would only know if you'd genuinely spent time with them. They are happy when they arrive, know just where to go, and love the awesome staff that take care of them. The kennels are very generously sized, are indoors in a nicely appointed building, and the outdoor space is phenomenal - especially if you have big dogs who need to run! I highly recommend them, and will continue to drive whatever distance it takes to know that my dogs are well cared for when we are out of town. read more
