They were so patient and kind even though we were a mess. He ended up spending two days at the clinic and we were able to bring him home! I brought my 10wk old puppy in this morning after waiting in the parking lot for an hour (Saturday 12/6) because I wanted our vet to at least take a look at him. He was nipped by one-of our bigger dogs and was breathing funny and I wanted to see if he was ok. The lady at the front desk said, "Whoa boy thats going to be tough because we are booked solid today...." I have taken four dogs to your clinic over multiple years...but front desk lady didn't ask any questions or seemed to care....she just turned me away and told me to go somewhere else due to being "booked solid". I expected more from my local vet's office since I was a regular customer. However, there a lot of vet office options in my area and I'm sure they would happily take my business...booked solid or not. read more

Sophie had a good experience. She got an appointment right away with Dr. Jones. She had a growth on her lower eyelid that just appeared one day, then started to grow which affected her vision. She's a beautiful Sheltie, a cow dog that Loves the outdoors. She had lab work and was cleared for surgery. She had laser surgery to remove it and has been healing well without any concerns. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I recommend the Clinic for your fur babies needs. read more

If you truly love your pet, you'll pass this vet up & keep looking. Found this vet when my 3 month old kitten was lethargic & yelled when touched. Nothing else was open so on we went. They took her back for less than 5 minutes before a lady came out and told me Mari (kitten) was being 'moody'. I've been rescuing cats for decades, & said as much. I questioned the half-ass diagnosis & she turned a bit hostile. She stated she'd bring Mari back out because 'there was nothing they could do' & to 'wait until her mood improved'. My asinine $80 bill had a charge for a generic pain med I was not informed they had given her. When I questioned that the answer was 'to make you feel better'. I paid & left. I waited another hour at home to see if she improved & when she didn't I took her to Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield (100% recommend). Come to find out she had a 107 degree temp and her organs were shutting down because of a bacterial infection. It took 3 days in the hospital, but Mari beat the odds and now lives her life as a spoiled rotten kitty. That diagnosis was totally missed by this vet clinic due to half-ass caring & trying to get rid of patients so they could go home. The negligence of this vet would've aided in her death had I not chosen to get a second opinion after this vets ridiculous 'moody' diagnosis. I wouldn't take my ex-husband to this vet, & he's less than worthless. I'm not interested in any bullshit apologies from them, I want to make people aware of the quality of service here. Go anywhere else. Also, you will be automatically signed up for e-mail spam from this vet, so be careful of what information you share with them. I've spent MONTHS trying to unsubscribe from it with no luck at all. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place they are greedy and unprofessional. I requested they give me a written copy of my prescription for my pet and they proceeded to tell me that they don't accept outside pharmacies(which is illegal). You are forced into using their pharmacy which is extremely over priced. "If the veterinarian is prescribing a medication for a patient, yes the doctor is required to provide the patient, upon request, with a written prescription." From avma.org My best advice after dealing with these money hungry people is to take your animal somewhere else there is plenty of other vets that will treat you right. I've now had to find another vet pay for an office visit and my prescription and am still cheaper than just my prescription would be at north side. (Update got my apoquel from schaffer veterinary services for $80 instead of $120 at Northside and she was more than happy to release my prescription to whoever I wanted to use to fill it if I wanted to do so.) read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed them yet! Amazing. My big dog has had 3 surgical procedures and we've been working together on a cancer diagnosis (looking good!) Dr. Sloan did her first and removed 5+ lumps (not sure if he's on the staff there, but clearly they have talented dr's). Dr. Jones did the other 2 removing 2 sarcomas. They're so easy to work with and help me do my job as dog mom at home. I also bring my younger dog, and my sister brought her dog in for a lipoma removal. My mom uses them for her German shepherd with heart disease, and it seems to be really easy to coordinate with them and the cardiologist. There is one tech that we usually see that is also so amazing and knowledgeable. I hate that I can't remember her name, but overall their staff is just amazing. read more

I used to love this place. I even had my in laws come over to this clinic. My sister uses this clinic. So needless to say I enjoyed this place. BUT this weekend we had a tragic even take place in our house. I lost one of my dogs Sunday night. I called Monday morning to try to get my other dog in who was showing symptoms that my other dog presented with. I asked if my dog would be worked in, I BEGGED! They were so worried that I might be parvo that they just wouldn't even add this to their day. They said they were too busy. I begged again asking if my vet office could get my dog in so I don't loose another. They didn't even listen to me. I said one of my dogs is dead and the other has symptoms as well... she said "ohhh he is already dead. Well bring him up here and we can take care of him for you". They couldn't get past it could be parvo. Which it was not. They both were tested and negative. Another thing my dog that died was seen up there couple months back and they tested him for parvo them and they charged my $500 for a freaking parvo test. i was able to get my dog into the guardian in Burleson and they didn't care that they were busy, they didn't care that they thought it could be parvo. They let me drop him off and worked him in. They also charged my $45 dollars for the parvo test. THE ANIMAL ER tested my dog that died and charged me $85 dollars. They will never see another dime or penny of my money. read more

We were looking for a place to have my 9 month old puppy spayed before her first heat cycle and our vet isn't doing surgeries at the moment. Northside Animal Clinic was the only place that could get us in within the month (they actually got us in within the week) and the lady we talked to was super nice. She gave us a quote over the phone but said that if we brought her shot records in they would remove the shots. I dropped her off the night before surgery and brought my puppy's shot records with me. The girl that came out to get my puppy looked over the shot records and then showed me a quote but said since she had her shots that they wouldn't be apart of the end price so, I signed the paper with that knowledge. The next day they called and said that surgery went well and that they went ahead and gave her all of her shots, including rabies, even though the papers clearly showed that she had all of her shots. They said the since one of the papers was ripped in half (because we got the shots at TCAP which does 2 dogs per paper and we gave the other puppy away) and the paper was the one with the rabies vaccine on it, the date was on the other side of the paper, even though her side of the paper had her age, the expiration date of the rabies lot, and all they would have to do is call TCAP for a print out. When we picked my puppy up, the girl at the front desk was rude and didn't seem to care that they potentially harmed the health of my dog and said that the business manager would be in Monday (the 2nd of May) and would call to discuss possibly refunding us the $55 we spent on unnecessary shots but we have yet to receive a call. A refund is the only correct response to this but it will never change the fact that my puppy's health has been put at risk. I was debating moving all of our animals (5 cats and 7 dogs) to them but since all they are looking for is more money and not actually looking out for the health and safety of animals i will not be back and I definitely will not recommend them to anyone. read more

Northside Animal Clinic the place to AVOID. Overpriced, rude, unprofessional. Their hand is in your wallet before you ever walk in the door. My visit and my opinion of this place. It took the girl 4 attempts to get a blood sample. Thats right 4 attempts. They won't even let a nurse drawing blood in a hospital that many attempts without calling in someone else to do it properly. That area today is all discolored with bruise like marks and slightly swollen. Quoted me one price on a specialty dog food that was recommended and when I checked out it was 10.00 more. The only way I found the overcharge was because I had to ask for a itemized bill that i wasn't provided and I saw it. I got the 10.00 back after having to argue to get it for a error the girl made. The owner spoke with me but in a very condescending manner because I dared to say something about the error and wanted it corrected. Actually tried to humiliate me in front of his entire front office staff. Then just walked away and let his wife deal with it. They won't give you a prescription for the speciality food because they want you to buy it there or from their online site denying you the option to buy it cheaper from places such as Chewy. After this visit I talked with other Vets in the area. Every one of them was cheaper on the services they provided and have no problem giving out a prescription or pricing matching online sites such as Chewy. They also thought some of the things done by the Vet weren't necessary but just a way to pad the bill. I found the same dog food at other Vets in the area for up to 24.00 cheaper for a bag. They may claim to care but in my opinion all that matters is the money to them not the pride of actually being a Vet that wants to help, be fair and put a client and their pets needs first instead of how much they can charge you when you are at their mercy. Do yourself and your pet a favor GO ELSEWHERE... There are other Vets in the area that will give you much better service, appreciate your business and professionalism. As well as treat seniors respectfully. Some Vets even over a Senior discount which Northside Animal Clinic doesn't. Once again proving money is more important to Northside than truly caring about the people and their pets in the area and their needs. read more

Great dental center! They pulled two teeth that were bothering my dog and the price was amazing compared to other places. Their skills are amazing as well as their prices. I highly recommend their services for dental surgeries. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! I have taken my animals to Northside Animal Clinic for years and the last time I went was the WORST experience I have EVER had! The vet HIT my dog in the face/head with his iPad and I was FURIOUS! Our puppy is a year old, has been socialized and has NEVER shown aggression. The vet we saw was Craig Jones. He is not the normal vet we see there and we have NEVER had any problems with the other vet. I am sooooo...upset and I WILL tell EVERYONE I know about this TERRIBLE experience. I am still in shock and floored by this. If you feel threatened in any way by a dog as a vet you should muzzle them or take normal precautions since at times the animals may be overwhelmed or fearful. This really hurts my heart and yes it has been reported! Our dog did not growl, snap or bite. If you are a true professional and you felt unsafe with our dog you should have left the room and taken proper precautions. YOU SHOULD NEVER KNOCK A DOG IN THE FACE/HEAD WITH ANYTHING....PERIOD!!!! I would NOT recommend this vet to work on your pet. He does a bad job and will blame your dog for his bad workmanship. My dog took over six weeks to heal from a spay job that this vet did. Oh, he is willing to come in after hours and try to fix his mistake, because he will charge you for it. If it wasn't for his kind staff I don't think he'd be in business. read more
