Let me tell you, I called for firewood to be delivered and I must say, I was not happy about the long delivery time... but honestly, I think that is because I have never bought firewood before, lol... But these men delivered my firewood wrapped in like 5 or 6 piece bundles with Plastic wrap.... I don't know if this is common but being a senior citizen, I brought in 10 pieces of wood in one trip~!!!!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate this~! Do not recommend. Terrible communication. Only delivered half my order. I ordered and paid in full Nov 1, 2022 It is now mid January and only received half my order (and half of that was unseasoned and unburnable 50-60% moisture) I have over 60 texts back and forth with at least 4 of them telling me I'm at the top of the list and will have delivered that morning. Then nothing for weeks. Excuses given: 1. drivers lost a load, so had to delay. 2. Drivers flipped truck and needed to get a new one 3. Having cell phone issues and needed to work with carrier. Communication not good. We waited all afternoon for delivery which finally happened after dark. Oh well. That said, although there were some pieces wet and unseasoned, overall most pretty dry snd none of it rain wet. We got half a cord and they definitely delivered on that re: amount. EDIT: I wish I could give this business an even lower score now that I bought a cord from a different place. For $5 more money, I got more than double the wood and its actually able to burn. It's been more than 3 weeks since I purchased that cord from Thomas and it looks like he cut it down right before bringing it over. And when the driver dropped it off, I remember him saying that most people think that's a lot of wood but I kept thinking it seemed light. The cord that was delivered today, I was stacking from 8a to 12:45p and I still have a big pile. If you're in the Western Washington area, I suggest going through the tree service P&D Logging because your money will go a lot further and the wood will actually burn. I will be updating the pictures with the new amount. My wood shed if finally almost full, and I'll be struggling to find a place for the rest of this actual full cord. Please, if you don't want to be ripped off, *NEVER* purchase from Thomas Firewood Service. I know your money means something to you in this day and age where inflation takes a toll on everything. You will never have to worry about if you're getting the right amount of firewood if you go to P&D Logging. Thomas Firewood Service is a terrible business model and I also seen a post on his Facebook about him not paying his workers, but a few days later, the post was deleted. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Hope yall make the right decision by never doing business with this guy ever. We had ordered a cord of wood from Thomas. When the owner originally stated it would be 3 hours until delivered, I told him I wouldn't be there to accept it and asked if he could deliver the following day. Three days later it arrived extremely wet and would not stay lit even after attempting to use fire starters with it. The driver told me to leave it out for a week or two to dry it out, but it was supposed to be ready to burn as soon as I received it. And upon further investigation, none of the firewood that was delivered to me was seasoned or ready to burn. I thought it was just from the ran but no. Seasoned firewood doesn't have sap, my clothes were covered in sap after stacking it all. read more
