Thought that I would take the kids here over the Christmas period for lunch. I kinda new what to expect so was not expecting too much but it is what it is. We started with the Times Square Player which consisted of Chicken wings, potato skins and motzrella sticks. This was ok. For the main course my nine year old had a hot dog with fries( boring and plain) which she only ate the chips. I had one of the Tostada stacks which is Cajun chicken, hot sauce and onions and fried veg between layers of tortilla. The wife and other son went for a Jack Daniels chicken burger. The Tostada was really bland, tortillas were over cooked and it tasted like eating cardboard and left over veg sprayed with a cheap hot sauce. The burgers were dry, too much sauce on and served in a sugary roll. All in all really disappointed with the food and won't ever spend my money there again, read more

Left after 45 minutes - they couldn't even serve dinks in that time! Seated by a pleasant lady. Waiter only had two tables - but it took him 20 minutes to take our drinks order (a glass of water and a lemonade). 25 Minutes later still had not got our drinks, so we left! The waiter said the bar was 'very busy'! (for a glass of water? During COVID?) Really? Popped across the road to a family owned restaurant and had a lovely meal there! TGI Fridays has really taken a dive in service - will NOT be going back there! Don't waste your time! read more

Update Oct 2011: Back again for Halloween. Menu still good service was adequate. Update Oct 2010: have come back on Halloween for lunch and it's nice to see the effort has been put in to make the place Halloweeny with balloons, spider webs and Halloween costumes. Good good, delivered well. My Fridays's burger hit the spot perfectly, and so did the New York strip with Jack Daniel's glaze for my wife. read more

Great Food, Even better cocktails. Great place to just enjoy a meal or enjoy a party. Staff are friendly and very chatty and they do a good activity pack for kids. Highly recommended. read more

Fun Fun Fun!!! I've stopped at this TGI a few times with the family for a meal and if you've never been in one before, prepare yourself. The waiters and waitresses dress in whacky outfits wearing all sorts of badges and there are all sorts of weird and wonderful paraphernalia hanging from the walls and ceilings. But that's what it is about, relaxing and having fun. The food is fantastic, erring on the American style with burgers and ribs amongst the many dishes. Portions are large and you get free refills on your soft drinks. Prices are reasonable. read more

I haven't been here in 5 years and its as good as i remember. Good service, nice atmosphere, slightly over priced but very nice food too. Great for families. Similar to old Orleans restaurant which has shut down now. It's theme based. The bar is centred in the middle of restaurant with seating/tables on the surrounds by the windows. The menu is quite extensive and they have a selections of drinks and cocktails too. The desert side of things seemed to lack quite abit but other than that the food was nice and I would recommend read more

Good food. Brilliant Cocktails, sort of an easy food place but a bit fancy with all the confusing and highly alcoholic 'fish bowl' size drinks. I highly recommend the 'woo woo's' and the 'beef/chicken tortilla wraps'. good pace for an embarrasing stand on your chair happy birthday celebration. and extremely friendly down to earth people. read more

TGI Fridays are a good place to go for a special occasion, sadly they are a little too expensive for them to be more that that but the food is lovely. The starters and main courses are delicious and the portions very generous. The desserts look wonderful but by the time I have finished my main and had an oreo cookie milkshake I am stuffed silly for the night. The staff are ridiculously perky and friendly but you have to buy into that if you decide to eat at a TGIs. read more

Very expensive for the kind of casual food they're delivering. There are traditional pubs nearby that give you better quality for half the price (And I'm not British) read more

Probably the best ribs in town. Staff are always friendly and the deserts are killer.

You can expect a decent meal, served with a smile, but its not the place to go for outstanding food, more of a fun venue. Kids love it here, & it gets pretty lively with the local 20 somethings at the weekends. Much improved since the smoking ban, & a good place to meet a few friends for a lively drink. read more

Shocking service had to wait a hour for a starter and the staff didn't even apologise, when we had to remind them we were still waiting.

I recently dined at TGI Fridays in Reading, and while I must commend the staff for their friendliness and helpful demeanor, I was profoundly disappointed with the quality of the food and beverages served. The meat portion served to me was not only disappointingly small, akin to what one might expect from a McDonald's Happy Meal, but its taste and texture were subpar, closely resembling cardboard in both aspects. This was a surprising letdown from what I anticipated in a meal from TGI Fridays. Additionally, the Coke I ordered, which was not of the refillable variety to avoid the dilution issue common with those options, was far from satisfactory. My first sip revealed a beverage that tasted overwhelmingly of water, with only a faint hint of Coke, prompting me to send it back immediately. It seemed as though the drink had been colored to look like Coke rather than taste like it. I believe TGI Fridays can do better, especially given the standard set by the service staff. It is crucial that the food and beverage quality match the level of customer service to provide a dining experience that reflects well on the brand's reputation. I hope my feedback is taken constructively and leads to improvements that will benefit all patrons in the future Your sincerely Never Retuning Customer read more
