As the project progressed, so did changes and modifications. He seemed eager and more than willing to accept the changes. Time went on, money flowed but the work diminished drastically. He didn't 100% complete any singular task. The most recent draw accompanied zero additional work completed. He received that draw and ended up on a vacation that "went a little over," so he couldn't show up until the following week. We voiced concerns numerous times which he would defend with threatening language and responses. After realizing that he was not going to meet the timeline with the diminishing days on site, we had a meeting where he walked off the project.

The scrap search was successful, but the better news is that they would not take payment for the 4 or 5 feet of boards. The area where the repair was done required pulling back a large area of carpet in two separate areas, which met at a seam in the doorway. Clay's team showed me why this repair could result in a less than perfect end result, but I told them to proceed. In the end, the loose area of flooring was repaired and the carpet was stretched back such that we could not tell it had even been pulled up.
