I really loved the steamed seabass dish, and the chicken Tom Yum soup was also good. The fish cakes were alright, a bit mushy and bland in taste but not bad. However, the second time I came with a bunch of colleagues, there was a blonde waitress (called Tracy apparently) who was horrible. She cursed us, was the rudest of rudest I had ever encountered so much so that I we had to directly call the manager. It was like watching a TV show at how rude a waitress could be, bad service on steroids. When I asked for the bill, she replied "are you done staring you spoilt brats" in the presence of the manager, which was a real shock to us as customers. My friend politely asked whether we were getting our starters together with the main course, she said that we are "at the back of the queue because we took blimmin' two hours to order". Also, she had these rants behind the counter about one of my friends who was late due to getting caught up at work, then threatened to take one of the tables away if she did not come in the next five minutes. Bad language, slamming dishes, snapping whenever we ordered anything, ranting behind the counter and countering everything with a rude sarcastic remark... it was like something you would only see on TV, so that fact that this was happening in real life just bewildered me and my friends. One of my Thai friends was a regular and knew the manager who was very nice. She apologised to us a lot and removed the service charge (as we were a group of twelve). It was a real pity as the food was so good but we were bombarded by TV Drama style rudeness of this Tracy that it made one of my friends upset and left me shocked to the point that I was lost for words.

All the apps were good but the spring rolls and Samosas were a stand out. The Phad Thai was excellent. Not dry like most places serve it, but saucy and full of flavor. The servers were all just lovely. Food was slow coming out but it was very busy and in the peak season so to be expected. It's in an old converted church and the interior is very nicely decorated. Bright vibrant colors match really well.

Full disclosure, I wanted to hate this place. It took a while for the hostess to seat us because he was busy chitchatting instead of taking care of people in line. Also, they kind of scoffed when we said we didn't have a reservation even though the place was half full. Then, looking at the menu, the food doesn't come with rice or noodle, and they charge a whopping 2.95 pounds for plain jasmine rice. I was like -.- But DANG their food is amazing! I was completely blown away. Possibly the best Thai food I've ever had outside of Thailand. Who would have thought a restaurant in a little English village would be one of the best Thai food experiences I've ever had. We got the chicken Phad Krapow and the land stir fry. The flavors on these dishes were absolutely perfect. We cleaned the plates! Highly recommend. If this place were in Arlington VA, they would probably know my name and make my food as soon as I walk in the door!

From the outside it looks basic but when you see the menu and get your food served it's far from basic! Amazing sized portions and just so authentic. We just made it through the starters before indulging into our mains. Little did I expect that my portion would be enough for 3 people instead of myself. Had to box it up and will gladly polish off tomorrow. Can't recommend this place more as it's off the main street, staff and service were so welcoming, serving was quick (albeit it was quiet) and the prices are so cheap! Total package

With a couple of other people we went for one of the banquets to experience what they have to offer - I was very happy with everything. My companions felt that the starters were a little disappointing, or at least quite generic and at times lacking flavour. I thought they were great though, because I value variety over quality perhaps! We all liked the soups though, which were packed with chicken and other tasty bits. The we had a selection of mains, from prawns to beer and so on. Tender meat, interesting sauces and fresh ingredients: all fine by me.

Really great experience!…read more I've been wanting to come here for a long time, back In my student days I walked past it countless of times for some reason thinking I'd never be able afford it aha I was meant to attend here a few months ago with my friend but she got ill however the whole booking journey was a very pleasant one. This time I booked the Thai restaurant upstairs for my dad's birthday. Walking in from the 32°c heat the air con was welcoming. On the tappenyaki floor were wooden elephants and beautiful natural wooden tables etc. Upstairs was beautifully decorated with Thai carvings, paintings and wicker fish traps! I was greeted by name and we had the whole place to ourselves. The menu was diverse with starters costing between £7 to £10 and mains about £15 . After being served cold lemon water by a lovely waiter we chose between us chilli squid, chicken satay and crying tiger (spicy steak) for starters. The steak was a bit overcooked for my preference but it was beautifully cut and seasoned so it still enjoyable although the side salad consisted of iceburg lettuce with no dressing etc. my dad's chicken satay was a lovely portion and looked tasty and my sisters squid was a nice size too. The coating didn't stick very well to it but still very tasty . For mains my partner chose pineapple rice with prawns, myself yellow curry with crispy sea bass, my sister the chicken green Thai curry and my father the jungle curry . Despite the heavy-handed turmeric in the rice this was the closest thing we've had to pineapple rice since our Thailand trip . Was really fresh and tasty . My yellow curry was divine with perfectly cooked sea bass. Both my dad and sisters meal also looked fabulous! At the end they had remembered my dads birthday and brought out a candlelit dessert. Overall a very welcoming service with beautiful food just subtle tweaks though to make it perfect. I will definitely return.
