Loving Hut - Vegan fish and chips

You know about the international chain of restaurants known as Loving Hut, right? So you don't need…read moreme to tell you these franchised outlets are run by supporters/followers of the spiritual personality known as Supreme Master Ching Hai. I won't go into the full details of the belief system or practices, but I will say I take little notice of it all and just concentrate on the inexpensive and completely vegan menu. Loving Hut Edgware has one of the most expansive menu of any of the Loving Huts that I have eaten in... and I have eaten in Loving Huts in Australia, Europe, the USA and Mexico. One of the best options is the order and eat all you can. Everyone at the table has to order two dishes and once that food has been consumed, you can order more. This process can continue as long as you eat everything on the table first. Oh my! My favourite meal is the vegan fish and chips. As a vegan, you can feel somewhat left out of this very British tradition but Loving Hut Edgware makes sure you get the full experience.

http://www.vegmrman.com/…read more Love this restaurant!!!! It is totally vegetarian and serves a lot of different dishes, many featuring mock meats! They are soooo tasty though and I have taken meat-eaters there who have not been disappointed with the food! They offer a lunchtime buffet with a good selection from their menu from 12 noon to 2.30pm mon-Fri and 12noon - 3pm Sat - Sun Price: £4.50 per person include one drink Mon- Sat. £5.50 per person on Sunday include one soft drink. In the evenings, there is a menu and several different set menus and the staff are always happy to advise on what/ how much to order. The staff are also always friendly! Food can take a little while to arrive because it is always cooked from fresh. However, it is definitely worth the wait! I can highly recommend the Mixed Hors D'oeuvres to start but the serving size is huge (between 4 of us we shared a portion for 2 people). The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients in their dishes so are able to advise about which items are suitable for dietary requirements. Overall, a lovely and friendly restaurant that I would highly recommend both for vegetarians and non-veggies.

The staff were all very professional, helpful and friendly. At the same time it was not stuffy and didn't make you feel uneasy. We tried the sampler platter for appetizer which was delicious. It was a good array of the their wonderful cuisine. The fried appetizers were not greasy and cooked just right. Loved the chicken/nuts dumpling, very unique and full of flavor and spices. For entree we tried the Lamb curry, sea bass curry, meat curry and pad Thai. They were all a hit, but the sea bass was the winner as far as we were concerned. The sauce and flavor was the perfect combination. Since it was a birthday celebration, we had the molten chocolate cake and the mango cheesecake, an amazing experience trying both (served with vanilla ice cream). This is a great place for any celebration

In addition to the eclectic and very creative menu, the sheer delight, taste, and presentation of the wonderfully prepared food is an experience in itself. Without a doubt, this restaurant has great ambiance, fist class service and is amongst the best in Hampstead.

I feel like an absolute fucking bellend tbh, spending all my time in fucking yumyums (which has the world's stupidest name and is only fun coz they have those tables that sink into the floor but half the time they don't let you sit in them anyway) when this absolute solid gold TREASURE is one minute round the corner. Anyway, the window seat is right next to some cute fairy lights and flowers and shit. As per usual I embarrassed my dining partner - 2015 Elite Yelper, Luke Y - by announcing that if this was a tinder date he would definitely be getting laid. BE WARNED THOUGH - romantic as it is, that table is draughty as fuck whenever anyone goes out for a cigarette. The food is the most authentic Thai I've had outside of actual Thailand. We ordered like the fat fucks that we are, and had fish cakes, chicken satay, squid and some kind of stir fried pork. I also rate their masaman curry and kanom jeeb dumplings more highly than I can express in words, and their homemade ice creams are fleek af too plus they do cool flavours like coconut and pandan. Your whole experience here is going to be heightened immeasurably by the cuteness of the tiny Thai grandma that serves the food. I just want to kiss her all over her jolly little face. She brings you these little spearmint chewy sweets with your bill that instantly take on the exact texture of pre-chewed chewing gum when you eat them. Maybe they are chewing gum? Either way, I swallow, but that's enough about my personal life LOL. All in all, it's an A+ experience every time. Big up Thai Cafe, I love you.
