We have visited this barbershop multiple times and have generally been pleased with the service. My son was happy with the haircut from barber Jose, but unfortunately, he wasn't available during our last visit. Another barber took over, and while he did well with the back of the haircut, the front ended up choppy and uneven. This issue could have been easily resolved if there had been open communication and a willingness to find a solution. When my son expressed that it wasn't what he wanted, the response was unacceptable. It was completely untrue to say my kids were disrespectful; they have been taught good manners and do not jump on couches, contrary to your claims. Furthermore, your accusation that I put my hands in your face is also unfounded. The reality is that you raised your voice and told my son he was overreacting, which was both unprofessional and unnecessary. This situation could have been managed much better. All that was needed was a willingness to listen and explore options for fixing the haircut. As professional barbers, your approach should have been more helpful and accommodating. read more

If you're looking for a quality barbershop in Modesto with top knotch barbers and a friendly, welcoming environment, look no further. I myself, and as id suspect many others, I am very particular about who cuts my hair. However, the owner Isacc has been the one ive put my faith in with the clippers, and he has yet to disappoint! Instantly, you can tell he knows exactly what he's doing, and cutting hair is like riding a bike for him. Isacc has sat me down and got me out of that chair in 30 minutes at times and even though it was quick it did nothing to hurt the quality of his haircut. He's extremely talented, and if you want a design, i dont think there's much that he COULDN'T do. He is in my opinion, truly a professional. Although getting a cut from him, may be a little more pricey than the average haircut. With him, I truly believe you get what you pay for! Just got my hair cut here. I'll talk about the shop then my cut. The shop is one of the cleanest I've been too. The whole place is well put together from the art to the color schemes, great lighting, and everything just looked brand new (don't know if this place is brand new or not 11/20/19). I love the atmosphere of a traditional barbershop and this had that feel but with a new updated taste to it. Staff greeted me right when I walked in, no appointment, and it took about 5 minutes til I got sat. The haircut turned out great! Diego hooked me up. I have a slightly odd shaped head so it's difficult to have a new barber that hasn't given me a cut before give me results I'm really happy with. Diego delivered tho. He did such a great job it was close to if not just as good as the girl I've gone to for the last 2 years. I was impressed. Today I caught up with an old colleague of mine, I'm glad to see Isaac and his shop doing well and looking sharp and better than ever. The fresh paint and window graphics give the privacy you would want from a busy street yet gives the patrons the ability to look out with the tint. Issac and his other barber Jeremy handled business and their cuts ranged from quick beard trim to picky guy as myself that doesnt mind waiting nor paying for extra time as long as its right. These guys can get you in and out with efficiency or like my situation Isaac took well over an hour making sure my cut was right. I took before and after washing up pictures so you can see the fade of both the hair and beard after you shower. Its nice to see a local guy really start from the bottom and work his way up. EASILY THE WORST BARBERSHOP OWNER IN MODESTO... Let me tell you why, I was referred to him by a family friend & I figured I'd take my 5 yr old nephew with me , to give him a try, however when I first got there, I was welcomed by foul language and disrespectful music, he was the only barber there (I guess he said it was because it was early) and there was a kid in his seat yet his haircut had been put off due to a conversation on his phone that seemed more interesting to Isaac. After an almost HALF AN HOUR WAIT (20 minutes easily of him just talking on the phone and texting) I got so fed up and ended up leaving early, there is no way in hell I would recommend this joke of an establishment to anyone...especially people who have moral compasses. read more

I have to give Omar the highest rating possible. I took my elderly father for a shave and a haircut, the first in months. He is an obstinant old man, usually refusing to leave the house, and he has crusties on his scalp because he doesn't wash his hair properly. I warned of this in advance, but they welcomed him anyway. I also let them know he is on blood thinners and will bleed like crazy if he gets nicked. Omar was so incredibly kind and gentle with my father, and truly gave him a great shave and haircut. Not only did he look 100% better, getting all cleaned up like that raised his sprits. My dad plans to make Omar his permanent barber, and be back in six weeks. Thank you Omar! Took my two boys 3 and 9 yr old in today. I booked their appointment via online and when I got there... they were running a bit behind... But Isaac pointed my 3 yr old with another barber who was available. He did an amazing job. I want to say his name is Alfredo but I honestly don't remember. He was a nice guy and he was super fast. Isaac did my 9 yr old boys hair cut and he did a great job as well. Isaac was very talkative and super cool. The price was a little higher than what I used to pay ... but it was worth it. Hopefully the great customer service continues and we keep going. The place is super nice and chill. I recommend to any mom with boys, anybody in general. read more

Definitely love going to That One Barber Lounge and I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else! Everyone is always so friendly and professional, the shop is always clean and neat from top to bottom, and the barbers are all very skilled and know how to keep a great conversation going in the shop! I stumbled across this shop and i was blown away by the service and the over all atmosphere and time taken to make sure i achieved the look i wanted and i was by faaaaaaar impressed. We've been going to TOBL for 3+ years. Our main guy is Kyran, but we've also sat in a couple other barbers chair's. They all do an amazing job. Whenever they've been booked and I need a quick cut for my boys, they refuse to go anywhere else. The guys listen to what their customers want. There was one time I went in and didn't know the name of the cut my son wanted, so I described it, they found a picture and did just that. The atmosphere is also great. His place is APPOINTMENT based only, if you walk in... expect a wait. It is easy to make an appointment just follow the rules. Him and his crew are usually booked up. I am a 65 year old woman who has cancer and most of my hair has fallen out! I no longer felt pretty and wasn't sure what I was going to do. I bought a wig that I wasn't happy with that one barber lounge made me feel good again. They gave me a wonderful haircut with some style to it and I love it. Always have a great experience coming into this shop. The vibe is comforting yet real and safe. You can truly feel good here not being judged or not having people interact with you.
