I called first to try and find out prices and and if they take walk ins and I literally had to call 3 times before someone answerd with a "what's up?" Should of been a red flag as no professional business would be so casual with letting their business line ring several times and not answer with a greeting other than "what's up?" Anyways, I get the info and I head on over and walk into the owner of the shop chilling in like a wife beater watching tv. I greeted him but he was too focused on the tv to see an actual customer walked in. When he finally did realize I got there he just put on his barber shirt and told me to sit. Still no greeting lol So I legit just told this dude all I wanted was an inch off the top and a fade on the sides. And dude was like, say no more (didn't really say that) and just went at it with chopping off like all of my hair. I honestly blame myself for not hopping out that shop when I saw what the shop was working with. I'm pretty sure the demographics of this place are like people who are over 50 years old and don't give a damn what their hair looks like anymore. I look like I have an unregulated military buzzcut but somehow it looks even worse than that. Point being, don't come here if you care about your hair and you actual value good customer service because you're not getting either from this dude. His name is Bruce I'm pretty sure. Shout out to Bruce for destroying my summer hair styles

I've seen some of the reviews about people complaining that the wait is too long, and I can understand the frustration. Although there are very good reasons that you end up waiting awhile. The first being that the store is tiny and there's only a few barbers. The second and most important is that they actually take their time and do an outstanding job. Most salons will do a rushed job and get you in and out in a matter of minutes. So if you're looking for something quick and simple, look elsewhere. But if you don't mind sitting down for awhile and getting the best haircut you've had in a long time, then look no further than Manuel's Barbershop! They paid extra attention to detail. Never been there before. I was a walk in and the shop was pretty busy. I believe the person that cut my hair was Nicole.(the one with the neck tattoo) She was very polite and told me that she would get to me right after her last client. I asked for a high bald fade and all I have to say is, that was the best bald fade I've ever had. Even shaved the back of my neck with a straight razor and I haven't had that done in a barbershop in a very long time. If you ever go to the oakdale barbershop, I definitely recommend asking for Nicole. read more
