She was compassionate and made you feel comfortable. She cracked jokes the whole time and nobody likes going to the doctors especially the gyno but she makes you want to come back. She even hugged me at the end and said she was so thankful to meet me. I have never been to a doctors office like that usually you feel rushed and like you cant say everything you want/ need to. But here at Highland Womens Health they truly care about you. Highly recommend seeing Jo Wrona if you need a new OBGYN.

Still, I thought this place took pretty good care of me. My first pregnancy appointment was incredibly disappointing. I basically went in for a pee test and was asked if I had any questions. I learned on my own through google that one of my medications was unsafe during pregnancy so I took that myself. I learned on my own through google that having a thyroid disorder increases chance of miscarriage. I had to advocate for myself by telling them I needed an ultrasound asap, they were going to make me wait another two weeks when I was already 7 weeks along. I was sent home with no information and given no safety information verbally (what to eat, what kind of medications were safe, activities that were safe/unsafe). Thank goodness my friend is also pregnant and scanned her information packet and gave it to me. Needless to say, I am switching doctors. I want people to know that you really need to advocate for themselves if they are going to this obgyn. I know not everyone has other options if you are on medicaid at

Last year COVID was more crazy, and it was really busy here. There is a lab before you get to the imaging area, and people were standing in the lobby waiting. This year, there was hardly anyone here. There was no one in the waiting room with me, and when I left, one person was there. Presumably the person with the appointment after mine. My scan was also much quicker this time. I'm not sure why, but I was in pain last year, but I'm still sure it was longer. It was 15 minutes max this year. I couldn't believe it! Also, there is a bathroom attached to the room. Since they may be probing your stomach, this may be helpful information to have, lol. There is also a bathroom in the waiting room where I stopped to fix my hair, so no shortage of bathrooms. When I left, there was still not line at the lab. The year before I waited over a half hour. It might just depend what time you're there. No complaints. Plenty of parking. I'd go here again, but hope I don't need to. :)

The total with tax charged on this service was $70.20; credit or cash accepted. The 2-stars for this business are for their willingness to schedule same-day, albeit at an above-industry price within the elective ultrasound sector for a 2D sonogram. The woman on the phone to schedule was friendly and helpful. Once inside, there is a room with an ultrasound table to lay on for mom as well as a 3-seat sofa. The seating faces the large screen on the wall. Given the total amount of time we were in the room 8 minutes, which included providing payment, discussing my info, offering add-on purchases, etc. We arrived at 11:47AM, we were 2 minutes late. Payment was collected and tech requested information. The scan started at 11:53 with the first image snapped at 11:53:15 (15 seconds after squirting COLD medical gel across mom's stomach to start the scan). PLEASE invest in a bottle warmer for your lube -- brrr! The last image was snapped at 11:54.31. Less than 2 minutes of seeing our baby, who was asleep and the tech kept jumping around so quickly to different images we could barely see before the whole thing was over. We exited the building at 11:57AM, exactly 10 minutes after arriving at the parking lot. Whirlwind does not begin to describe the speed at which this occurred. Being in the 14th week, we requested to hear the heartbeat as family was present. The tech refused stating they follow the guidelines not to check heartbeat before 14 weeks. Yet, on their current website it specifically states to "hear the heartbeat 12+ weeks". We told the tech our doctor has been doing the heartbeat since 7 weeks but our family can't hear because our dr doesn't allow guests or recordings. Still - she refused to even attempt. In hindsight, it's very interesting she was trying to sell us on heartbeat recorder and animal add-ons after knowing our due date yet she refused to let us hear the heartbeat -- so she wouldn't have been able to record for the add-on purchase anyways. Or maybe that was the catch? If you don't purchase the $40 add-on, you don't get to hear the heartbeat promised in your package which your dating qualifies you for? Who knows. Well-run businesses are reliable and do not have clients questioning why actions do not meet written policies. The tech printed out 5 images, despite the package being for 2 images. However, we could care less about images as we made it clear we were there to allow family to see/hear the baby. We get images in 3D/4D from our doctor as it is. Overall, the failure to do what we ordered of "hear heartbeat 12+ weeks" along with the extremely rushed atmosphere and our sleeping baby, despite drinking OJ as advised, made us feel EXTREMELY UNEASY as of something was wrong with our baby and the tech was rushing to get rid of us. It ruined our day, honestly. Given prior elective ultrasound experiences with several businesses throughout the country, never with a negative experience (even with very active babies who were hard to capture - the techs were kind and willing at all other places), we are fairly experienced in this sector as clients. Sadly, at this time, we cannot recommend this business or their services. UPDATE: Contacted the owner and was told the tech was incorrect, we were offered to come back next day to hear the heartbeat. Unfortunately, when we came back, they could not find the heartbeat but the tech gave us a dvd and her apologies. We were told to call our doctor, which we did in office. We are now awaiting an ultrasound at our doctor to find out if baby has died. Updated the rating for the business owner and tech following up and offering an acceptable resolution.

Asked what time their appointments were and when they found out I was in at 8 and they were slightly later they said I should check in first. Front desk woman was quick at her job and I was signed in and told to have a seat and they would call me. Barely had a chance to sit down when they called me, no wait times when your the first one in. After the ultrasound I went back to the waiting room to wait for my turn in the x-ray (also a very short wait). The only complaint I could possibly have is the length of time it took to get an appointment but that is nothing they could help. Keep up the good work.
